Question about Elite Sl 3000 Ul Sliding Gate Operator

My Elite SL3000 sliding gate is not responding to any of my remotes(open/close) but I hear the receiver in the operator clicking when I press the remote. My son mentioned that when he passed through the open gate the infared sensor clicked and caused the gate to start closing. Odd! later I found the gate had opened by itself and now it is not reponding to my remotes. we did have a big rain shower earlier. Could the infared sensor be fogged up and giving it false info thinking something is in the way and therefore not allowing the remotes to respond?

Hi, Thanks for posting your Question.

When it comes to automatic usage of equipment or gadget that work with remotes sensors..It always malfunctions when water enters into it's electrical area..

Issues like this are have to be checked by an experienced Elite SL3000 sliding gate repairer..Water has enter either the coil area or the magnet that control the opening and closing function of the Gate..

It's not from the remote. That is if the battery of the remote still functions properly..

It needs to be serviced to clean the water inside and after cleaning it up, it will be ok..

Please make sure someone who has the experience should handle it. Thanks

General answers only, sorry. Look for loose or corroded connections, especially where wire nuts were used. Reprogram the remote receiver. Disconnect power to the receiver for a short time. Reconnect and reprogram. I hopes that any of this helps. I have operators to the much like witch craft, a black science!

Hi Mary, do you have more than one remote for the gate? Your remote needs to be paired with the gate receiver. Normally you need to push a certain button on the control panel to enable learning mode then you press the remote button you want to use. You will have to follow this learning process for your device. Please keep in mind that just any remote will not work with your gate, it needs to be on the same frequency and use the same modulation mode.

That light flashing means a limit switch issue is present. Check the switch and all the wiring to that switch.

1. I have an elite slide gate opener it will open all the way and after a few sec will close. 2. With the remote the gate will not stop and stay in the open position.
the auto close has been set or the motor has been set up in reverse and it is auto reverseing,make sure the gate is opening up all the way, if it is not just help it along and see what happens.

We have an Elite Sl-300 gate opener that will not open when the remote is pressed. The reset motor light on the mother board is flashing when this happens
if you take the covor off the unit and look at the motor their is a redbotton. press that back in and tru again

Sliding gate will not close
The photo eye sensor is defective of is out of its correct posistion!
