Faceplate malfunctioning and scanning repeatedly

When the radio turns on, none of the buttons, save maybe the menu button, become responsive and the radio or whichever input continually scans. "Manual Seek" appears on the screen and nothing can be done. Sometimes, the remote will work, but nothing else does. The radio also automatically turns on when power is supplied, instead of waiting to have the power button pressed.

I have a clarion car radio model PU-2471Z(J) where all buttons on the faceplate have stopped working (increases volume with some)with the exception of the on/off button and cd eject button. Any ideas

Hi,

Please hold down the power button until the radio turns on or off (maybe 30 seconds). If this does not work, you can attempt a factory reset if the appropriate buttons are available. Otherwise, you might need to remove the radio from the car (if possible) and take the radio to the nearest Geeksquad/bestbuy for repair.

Thank you.

RADIO CAR CLOCK SCREEN ONLY INDICATING -- -- HOW DO I PUT FIGURES

Try this...it is for the 2000 series but should work for all KDCs:

Hold the "Menu" button for about one second to enter the Kenwood's menu. This button is located on the right side of the faceplate.

Push "AM" or "FM" until the Kenwood's screen shows "Clk Adjust."

Hold the "Right Seek" button for about two seconds. The clock will start to blink. It's now ready to be set.

Push the "AM" button repeatedly to increase the hour. If you want to decrease the hour, push the "FM" button.

Push the "Right Seek" button to increase the minute. Push the "Left Seek" button to decrease the minute. Push "Menu" to set the time.

Motorola Talkabout FV300 channel keeps scanning 1-22 very fast and will not stop.

The instructions for FV300 are a little incomplete. When scanning the Z symbol is already showing. You must press the menu button 6 times until the Z shows up again. In the lower left of the screen you'll see ON. Now push the + or - key and you'll see OFF in the lower left of the screen. If you delay too long scanning will start again and then you must repeat the above steps.
