How to insert date

Hi,

This Camera does not have the feature for superimposing the dates on images. The new models do not have the feature of superimposing directly as many customers did not want this feature because accidentally they had this option On and the Date and Time stamp got printed on the photos even they didn't want it.
However, the new cameras that are equipped with the EXIF technology gives you an option to superimpose the date and time later by using compatible EXIF software. When you print the images at a shop, images can be printed with the date if you ask them to do so.
You can use the Picture Motion Browser Software for inserting the date and time. Click here for the steps to insert the date using the Software.
You can also connect the camera to a Pictbridge compatible Printer to print the images with Date and Time. You can also use the MS Paint to insert the Date & Time.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Ca I shot images with the date inserted on DSC W170?

Hi.

Althought you cannot directly shot images with the date printed on top, the date is held in image attributes for each single file taken with your camera.

You can print out the image with dates, or order them in date order using the Picture Motion Browser software originally provided with the camera.
You can also ask that the pictures are printed with file date if you ask a print at a local shop.

Motion Browser software is explained at page 96 of the manual:http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/3294896121.pdf

Revision Date Insert into MS Word

Since you would be "saving" a change to the document (being a revision), you may want to look into inserting a "Field" named "SaveDate" so it will hold the date the doc was saved.

Position your cursor where you'd like the date to be in your docuemnt, then: Insert > Field... > In Field names, select SaveDate, select a format and click <OK>.

Hope this helps!

How do you set the image's filename to automatically include timestamp and date

Dear jeannesc:

I am assuming that you are using ZoomBrowser EX ver 5.8 which comes with the SD750's Digital Camera Solutions disc. Therefore these instruction will pertain to that version of the program.

You can rename image files using four different naming schemes:

1. Image Name + Number (e.g. Vacation_001.jpg)
2. Shooting date + Number (e.g. 20080601_001.jpg)
3. Name + Shooting date + Number OR
4. Shooting date + Name + Number

There isn't a provision for a time stamp naming convention.

To rename a group of images using one of the above naming schemes simply open ZoomBrowser and point it to the folder that contains the images you wish to rename. For this example let's assume it was your recent vacation photos.

I would utilize either Zoom or Scroll mode to view the images on the main screen. Then follow these steps:

1. Click the task panel labeled "View & Classify"
2. Next click the sub panel "Rename Multiple Files"
3. On the left hand panel click Step 1 "Select images"
[Here you can select any or all images in the folder]
4. Next click Step 2 "Specify Rename Settings"
5. Select the way you want the files to be named and enter
the appropriate settings. Note: If you wish to keep the original
file and make a copy with the new naming scheme make
sure you check "Make Copies of files"
6. Lastly click Finish and your newly renamed files will be there
in the folder.

Hopes this helps.

Sincerely,

Canon Power Shot A520 upload a image to the computer

Dear binghau:

The surefire way to have the date show on your pictures is to set your camera's resolution to PostCard Mode and thus record the date stamp on the picture itself. Your ZoomBrowser software, however can put the date on each of your images. I am using ZoomBrowser EX ver 5.8 as an example. If yoiur version if different it will still have similar functionality.

You can rename image files using four different naming schemes:

1. Image Name + Number (e.g. Vacation_001.jpg)
2. Shooting date + Number (e.g. 20080601_001.jpg)
3. Name + Shooting date + Number OR
4. Shooting date + Name + Number

You may choose to do either method 2 or 4 to get the date.

To rename selected images or a group of images using one of the above naming schemes simply open ZoomBrowser and point it to the folder that contains the images you wish to rename.

Sincerely,
