If your Emerson 6-disc CD changer's door is not opening and it's making a funny noise, there could be a few possible causes:
1. Mechanical issue: There could be a mechanical problem with the CD changer's door mechanism. It's possible that a part has worn out, become loose or broken, preventing the door from opening. The funny noise could also indicate that something is stuck or jammed.
2. Electrical issue: It's possible that there is an electrical problem with the CD changer. There could be a faulty connection, or an issue with the motor that drives the door mechanism.
3. Dirty or dusty: It's also possible that the CD changer's door mechanism is dirty or dusty. Over time, dust and debris can build up inside the changer, making it harder for the door to open and close.
To fix the problem, try these steps:
1. Unplug the CD changer from the power outlet and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in. Sometimes, this can reset the CD changer and fix any software issues.
2. Try manually opening the CD changer door. Look for a small hole or slot near the CD changer door. Insert a paper clip or a similar object into the hole and gently press down. This should release the door lock and allow you to manually open the door.
3. If the CD changer door opens, check for any CDs that may be stuck or jammed. Carefully remove any obstructions and try again.
4. If the CD changer door still does not open, there may be a mechanical or electrical issue. In this case, it's best to take the CD changer to a qualified repair technician or contact Emerson customer support for assistance.
Remember to always exercise caution when attempting to repair electronic devices. If you are unsure about how to proceed, seek the help of a qualified professional.

When CD and DVD players stop working, its usually because of the drawer not opening and/or shutting ...
There's a button in the center of the CD tray you must push to get it open with the notebook powered on. If you need to open the door without power on then push a paper clip in the tiny hole on the CD door to release it.
Do you see blinking light on your CD Drive. If not, you may need to check you power supply to CD Drive.
If yes, may be door looks jam, opening up once may remove any dust to smooth it out again. To open up there is small pin hole on cd drive, generally on the right side, use needle and press it through the pin hole, it will eject the CD Door and you can pull it out completely.
Off the power, and plug off the switch, and try opening it manually. DO NOT force open it. I don't think it would close back since it has no electricity already.
Best guess is that a small plastic catch broke. My cousin has similar doors on his CD trays. I personally would take the doors off. As far as repair, again best guess without seeing it, is that you'll need a new door panel.
Sir, You have encountered a problem often seeen in LG models. It could have spontaneously generated or as a sideeffect of recent servicing. It is difficult to correct. so an alternative way is use a pin to force open the door. On the front panel there will be a small mm hole through which insert a straightened paper slip to force eject the door. once door is out a little. pull it or use button to fully take out the tray.
For future, always keep a cd rom inside. that will probably let you eject the tray automatically. Problem occurs usually only withthe empty tray. good luck
