How do I set automatic timer on AC1 Hozelock watering system?

incorrect operation. 1. Remove screws and back cover. 2. Insert two 1.5V 'C' Alkaline batteries. (Check + and - are correct.). IMPORTANT: Rechargeable batteries must not be used. 3. Replace batteries each season. (max 12 months use) MAINTAINING THE WATERPROOF SEAL 1. Ensure that rubber seal is positioned correctly. 2. Replace back cover and screw down tightly. 3. Repeat each time back cover is removed. HOW TO PROGRAMME THE TIMER There are two watering operations - Automatic and Manual. AUTOMATIC OPERATION Automatic ON 1. Turn dial clockwise to AUTO START at actual desired start time (e.g. To start watering each day at 15H00 you must set your AC1 when the actual time of day is 15H00). The timer has now memorised the auto start time until it is reset and will operate every day at this time. Use of manual ON or OFF does not cancel memory. 2. Turn dial anti-clockwise to: a) Chosen duration for once-a-day operation, or b) Chosen programme for all other watering frequencies (see table). The timer will now automatically run the selected program repeatedly until a new option is selected. GB 2 Automatic OFF Turn dial to Manual ON or OFF. If you wish to return to Automatic watering re-select the desired watering programme. NOTE your auto start time remains memorised until a new one is selected. Changing start time Turn dial clockwise to AUTO START at new chosen start time. Changing watering programme Turn dial to new programme. Do not turn dial to AUTO START unless a new start time is desired. MANUAL OPERATION Manual ON Turn dial anti-clockwise to ON. Water will flow for 60 minutes maximum or until turned to OFF setting. Note: After 60 minutes water shuts off. Knob will still point to ON and needs to be manually set to OFF or to desired number of automatic watering minutes. Manual OFF Turn dial clockwise to OFF. Note: Operation is only audible when valve opens and closes. To check that timer is working, switch to manual ON or OFF to hear valve operate. CONNECTING THE TIMER TO THE TAP Use supplied adapters if required. Tighten to ensure no leaks

My roller bush won't turn ever time i put a new

1) you need a little tight the belt, with the bolts of motor.
2) you must shure if the belt if NOT large or short( in both cases the rollers will NOT run. can be slip. or too TIGHT. and BRAKE the motor.
3) the motor you must test for brush, switch, or open winding.
4) put a little lube in the extreme of shaft rollers, see by turning at hand if they run of course unplugged the power cord.
God bless you

Motor runs, brush won't turn, burning rubber smell

Easy to fix. The burning rubber smell is hair in the roller against the belt! Congrats, you have a healthy vacuum, you are lucky! Unplug the vacuum, remove the screws that cover the belt and roller brush. If you are nervous, take pictures with a cell phone or digital camera as you go for re-assembly. ok, pull the long roller out of it's slot and out of the vacuum. cut all hair off the roller and carefully move the belt from side to side to do the same. If the belt slips off, it slips back on easily. If the area is too tight for fingers guide it back on with any long thin wooden object. You can squeeze the belt to narrow it and slide it back over the thin metal rod that spins it from the motor. Slide the roller through the belt and back into it's slots. If it won't slide back on, turn it a quarter turn. Repeat till it does slide back into place. Put the face plate back on-tighten screws, flip it over, plug itr in and it should work!

I have a Kirby vacuum and I put the new belt on just like it says on the instructions. For some reason, when I turn it to belt on, the belt isn't actually on. When I turn it to belt off, the belt is...

Well, this would be much simpler if I could see just exactly how you've installed the belt, but to get somewhere close, we'll start by taking the belt off the catch arm by rotating the front emblem back to it's starting point. I believe that's achieved by turning it counter clockwise to the end post. At this point if you flip the head over so you can see the roller bar, position the belt so that it's wrapped tightly against the roller bar with the excess standing tall above it, you should be able to slowly rotate the belt lifter in a clockwise direction and it should catch the loop standing up above the roller bar, pulling it tight up into the head. Rotate the lifter as far as it will go until it hits a stop. It should stay in this position so that you can turn it over and mount it on the front of the vacuum body. Catch the two lower fingers on the bar, push the head up onto the front of the vac body and flip the latch down. That should hold the head in place. Now you should be able to rotate the belt lifter in the opposite direction, counter-clockwise, and it should drop the belt onto the spindle sticking out the front of the vac body. This will make the brushroll difficult to turn by hand, but it should turn freely with the motor shaft. There should be no burning rubber smell now either.

My tork 1101 timer will not trip on. It trips off ok. Manual override works fine, trip pins fine. When I manually rotate the dial it trips off fine, i hear and feel it click when the on pin pass, but the...

as per geno, Tork T1101 has 120 Volt clock motor and is generally used for 120Volt loads but can be wired other ways to handle 240Volt circuits.

Here are basic wiring instructions for 120Volt.
1) Black Hot wire from breaker connects to both terminal 1 and terminal L.
There is usually a brass connector plate between these two terminals. If that plate is present, then connect Hot wire to one terminal or the other.
2) White Neutral wire from breaker box connects to terminal X.
3) Black wire going to Load (light, fan, motor) connects to terminal 2
4) White neutral wire going to Load connects to terminal X along with other neutral wire.

That's the wiring.
To operate timer:
1) Set current time: rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with the word TIME that is located to lower right of dial at about 5 o'clock position.
2) Put on-off trippers on outer edge of dial at times you want timer to turn on and off.
The trippers are marked ON and OFF.

3) The ON tripper rotates around on the dial until it encounters a lever, and then it pushes the lever.
The lever clicks one direction for ON tripper, and then OFF tripper pushes lever other direction.
The lever opens and closes electrical contacts which turns the Load on-and-off.

Fantom twister wont work light is on

When you say, "just stopped", did the MOTOR stop operating and there's no sound from it at all? Or, is the motor still working or sounds like it does, and it stopped vacumning?

If the MOTOR stopped, most likely there is a short somewhere in the connection at the motor. Think 'repair shop'.
If the motor still runs and there's no VACUMN ACTION, think Roller Brush which operates by virtue of a rubber belt. Turn the machine on its side and turn it ON, keeping FINGERS !AWAY! from the roller area. If the Roller Brush is not moving it may be that the belt has slipped off or is broken or simply too loose to turn the Roller. Also sometimes debris such as strings, long hair, carpet strands/fibers will become wrapped around the roller especially next to the roller bearing/brace points, to the point of binding so tightly that the roller will no longer be able to actually roll which would now prevent it from 'Vacumning' or sweeping dirt and such up into the vortex of the vacumn chamber. In which case, !!UNPLUG!! the machine, use small scissors to cut away the material wrapped around the roller paying particular attention to the brace point areas.
