SOURCE: Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly

The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

SOURCE: electrolux 2100 new bag placed full bag indicator appears

It appears you have a bad control valve. My suggestion is to take it to your nearest Aerus dealer and have them replace it for you. You can find them by going to aerusonline.com and use their dealer locater. It shouldn't cost much to replace. You can disable it, but I don't suggest it. It is in place to protect you motor, and assuming you bought this machine new, you are aware of how much they cost. If you can't find a dealer locally, call the closest one and they may ship you the part. If you have to do it yourself, here is how. Open the front of the canister and remove the bag. As you are looking at the front of the unit, there are two vinyl covered strips that run the length of the unit. Pull forward on these strips and then pull out so that the vinyl separates from the plastic underneath. Now grab the plastic strip with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull towards the front of the canister. These can be tough if the machine has never been opened up before, but pull as hard as you need to, to slide the strip out. Once both strips are out, turn the machine over, pull out on the sides of the bottom of the unit, and lift up. The bottom should come off relatively easily, and everything will be exposed. The control valve rests under the bag housing, since the machine is now upside down. Pull the bag housing out, and the control valve will be right there. It's circular with vacuum lines connected to it. Just pull it out and move the vacuum lines to the new one, but be sure you get them in the right position!. It won't work if you don't. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!

SOURCE: Electrolux model LX vacuum- Problem, ejects empty

The vacuum is doing exactly what it is suppossed to do, on this model, the bag will eject when the suction is reduced due to the pores in the bag becoming clogged by dirt, dust, or fine powder. Try a NEW bag, and **** up less superfine dust such as baby powder or plaster dust that immediately clog the bag. Next, on later model LX's on the bottom of the canister near the bag door is a dial, setting the dial to a higher number will reduce the sensitivity of this automatic bag ejection operation and will allow the vacuum to continue to run until the bag is even more clogged, however, running the vacuum with a fully clogged bag causes the motor to overheat and reduces suction and damages the vacuum. If you have an early model LX, there may have been a "basement and attic" key mounted to the bottom, but often are lost by now and it is used to make such an adjustment. The 1952 model LX was the first with the diaphram automatic bag ejection system and the problem of the bag ejecting too soon was common. An improvement on the model LXI added the control dial with numbers 1 to 6 on it to adjust the sensitivity. I am looking up more info on adjusting a model without the dial because I just picked one up at an estate sale a few days ago and I've heard (some time ago) that the early ones with no dial had a "basement and attic" key that snapped to the bottom of the cleaner to make this adjustment, not sure where it is though and the one I have does not seem to have the key. Will let you know more if I find it! Thanks, I am an Electrolux fan and will use nothing else because I have used so many vacuums but love the convenience of Electrolux design and durability. They have been in my family since my grandparents came to America and are simply the best in my opinion.

SOURCE: Electrolux model 2100 shuts off with slightest suction blockage

This is exactly the symptom you would expect from a defective bag control valve. The actual control valve sits under the dial on top of the vac and often cracks internally. It can be replaced in about 15 minutes by a good tech with genuine parts from AERUS Elctrolux dealer or repair center.
You can open the vac front to rear like a **** shell by sliding the bumpers out the front with the bag door open, however you must be careful not to disturb the wiring harness and to mark wiring locations. The body must be carefully realigned for closure. If it is not perfect you will not be able to slide the bumpers back in.

Electrolux 2100 vacuum

Electrolux has had this issue across all tank machines for years and it has to do with the orientation of the bag. The bags are model specific and must be installed properly. Consult your manual for the proper filter bags and how to install them. The door on the bag will pop open and shut down the machine if the bags are not the proper ones and don't fit precisely. It is supposed to be a safety feature but it annoys the devil out of people and has for years. Their machines are very powerful and well made, but if the bag does not seal properly around the hose inlet or the gasket around the door and bag chamber leak, then you will have this happen.

Electrolux vacuum model C141A: No apparent obstructions, but vacuum shuts down and overload indicator lights regardless of suction setting from 1-5. Suspect overload sensor, but don't know how to access it...

Check the afterfilter. If it's dirty it can cause this. Try turning the vacuum on with the filter off.
If this doesn't help, the problem is probably with the Control Valve Assembly, or a tube connecting to it. This is the part that the dial connects to. The tubes often get clogged and need cleaned periodically, especially if generic ("made to fit") bags are used. The CVA itself may also be worn out or broken.
For cleaning, repair, or replacement, the vacuum needs to be taken to the nearest authorized Aerus Electrolux store. The service tech should also do a thorough cleaning and, at your request, preventive maintenance on the vacuum.

Electrolux 2100 vac dies when you attach hose even with new bag.

If the bag full light keeps coming on, you can first try adjusting the dial on top of the vacuum cleaner. If that does not work, then you need to change the control valve. This is an internal component of the canister and is directly below the dial. You will need to follow the instructions on a previous post to open the Electrolux plastic canister vacuum, and remove the bage cage. Once you remove the bage cage you can change the control valve, and this will solve your problem with the bag full indicator.
