Question about Black & Decker TCM400 Coffee Maker
How do we find this THERMAL FUSE? Where is it located ?
Posted on Jun 14, 2008
HELP!.....my little 4-cup Mr.Coffee didn't function this morning! It was plugged in as usual, same amount of water poured in container, and correct amount of coffee for it to brew. I waited for half an hour.....and nothing happened.
This little pot has been working fine until today. It was purchased about 8 mos. ago.
I would appreciate knowing what is wrong.
thank you,
P. Jenkins

How do you access the fuse?

Assuming you have power to the receptacle the unit has probably blown the thermal fuse. They are in line with the power to interupt the circuit if the unit gets too hot but over time they will blow out from all the heating cycles. The fuse looks like a small metal cylinder and come in various ratings. You need to replace it with the same rated fuse. They are available at most Electronic parts supply stores.
