Printing problem I'm unable to establish a good connection between a Dell 966 AIO printer and a WRT54GS router. How can I create a static IP for that printer when my environment is DHCP?

Do you mean bi directional? If so then why abbreviate it? How is it connected, to what is it connected, what drivers are you using, what are you trying to achieve and how did you come to the conclusion that it was not available?

Setup should look like...

Wall > ISP Modem/Router > Wireless router(if any) > Wired/wireless

If using DSL, a DSL Filter MUST be on ALL devices, phone, answering machine, faxes, etc..., everything EXCEPT the DSL Modem/Router.

Dell do not make Mac Drivers for there printers , however, most of the dell printers are made by lexmark and rebadged
the Mac OS X driver for the Lexmark X9350 may allow you to use your Dell 966 printer from a Mac. .

You can get a update for windows 7 on www.windowsupdate.com as for your printer try to un install the driver than re install you may also look to see if it is compatable with windows 7? check the owners guide on your printer, I don't think it is but not 100% positive about that,check owners instructions and guide

Is it connected via a parallel port? If so, then you need to change the parallel port type in your computer's BIOS Setup to EPP or ECP type; Windows will register the new port type and you should be able to establish a bi-di connection.
BTW, does it not work without this bi-directional connection? The only thing you lose is some fancy stuff like ink levels monitoring etc.
