Question about Cisco SPA525G

My office just installed the CISCO UC320 with the SPA525G IP iphone system. I have no idea why the SPA525G keeps on freeze and the first red light turn on after a while. Once the red light turns on, the phone cannot work. we have to wait for 5-10mins then the light turn off. Any advice? Daniel

I have seen this problem when there is no Voicemail, all old Voicemails deleted.

SOURCE: Cisco ip phone 7940 does not ring for incoming calls.

It sounds like you have enabled Do No Disturb accidently. This can be turned on and off by pressing the DND softkey button along the bottom of the LCD display. You might need to press the 'more' softkey to display all options.

Cisco spa525G - call on hold reverts to speakerphone automatically. The speakerphone is not lit so if you hit it to talk privately, the call disconnects.

I suggest a firmware upgrade and if that doesnt work, try a factory reset.

I have added cisco 7916 expansion module to 7965 cisco phone.Now when i started the phone,phone works but expansion module screen shows cisco logo and lights continuously flash.

I know it may be late (definitely late), but have you defined in the CallManager, that your phone has a "side card"? If CallManager does not know that it has to push an additional firmware to a particular phone, it will not work.

How to set a Cisco IP phone to factory default Reset configuration of Cisco IP Phone (7910, 1911, 7940, 7941, 7960, 7961)

To set the Cisco IP phone to factory default completes the following steps: should be completed:

For 7940, 7941, 7960, 7961 phones:

1. Power up the phone (unplug power cable and plug in again and hold the # key.
2. Release # when lights start flashing.
3. Press 123456789*0#.
4. Press 1 to keep network configuration or 2 to lose the network configuration.

For 7906G and 7911G phones:
1. Power up the phone (unplug power cable and plug in again and hold the # key.
2. Release # when MWI starts flashing.
3. Press 3491672850*#.

Iphone is not browsing internet through the Cisco AP 1200 but its associated to the AP

check your setting either static IP or DHCP.

find out what is gateway and ping it.

Well, in most Cisco VoIP phones those lights are used to tell you if you have a voicemail. Have you checked your vm and cleared any new ones? This might be your issue ;)
