Put in a cd and it says "no disk"

Try selecting the CD Rom using Finder and press at the same time Command + E

When the back output tray is pulled down, the printer has a straight paper path from the manual feed slot through to the back of the printer. Use this paper feed and output method when you want to print on thick paper, labels or envelopes.


Open the back cover

Open the manual feed slot cover.

Using both hands, slide the manual feed slot paper guides to the width of the paper that you are going to use.

Using both hands, put one piece of paper or one envelope in the manual feed slot until the front edge of the paper or envelope touches the paper feed roller. When you feel the machine pull in the paper, let go.

• Put the paper into the manual feed slot with the side to be printed face up.
• Make sure that the paper or envelope is straight and in the proper position on the manual feed slot. If it is not, the paper or the envelope may not be fed properly, resulting in a skewed printout or a paper jam.
• Do not put more than one piece of paper in the manual feed slot at any one time, as it may cause a jam.
• If you put any Media (paper, envelope and so on) in the manual feed slot before the printer is in the Ready state, the media may be ejected without being printed on.

Try the DIMMs in another motherboard.

Download the free 'MEMTEST86+' software, and burn it to a CD-recordable disk.
Put just _one_ DIMM into your computer, and boot from that disk, to run an intensive "memory-test" of that DIMM. If it "passes" (about 30 minutes per 512MB), then repeat with the other DIMM.

If you're worried, put the small CD-ROM into some other computer, and copy the entire contents to a full-size CD-recordable disk (or to a USB memory-stick).

Then, carry the CD-R (or the memory-stick) to your computer.

The sixth place is where the cd that was being played has to be put before it can take another cd to play. there should be a reset button some where im not sure where yet but I will find out and let you know shortly.

Hello my friend, try another disk and if it fails again clean your cd player with a disk cleaner cd either liquid solution or dry. If you don't have disk cleaner try to purchase in any store you have in your area or shop at online in this site: http://www.nextag.com/cd-disk-cleaner/search-html . Get a boyfriend - they know how to fix this stuff. Especially an Hispanic. It may be that there is a disk already in it. If not, the motor on the CD player is bust or the laster is trashed. Either way, it needs repair if there is someting stuck in it. Cellphones with MP3 and in ear headphones have good sound to get you thru work traffic and home again

open the player wit door ejected then clean the dust particles inside it wit dry cloth especially near the rubber belt which is connected to the dc motor... clean the lens also then check whether any screws are loose if so tight it then try playing....
