Bosch nexxt 500 series electric dryer will not heat up, it just blows cold air. I have removed the back panel and pressed the reset button-nothing changed it still won't heat. The dryer had been in storage for 8 weeks, it worked fine when we left our previous home. Please help, I'm out of underwear!

How do you reset the Bosch 500 series dryer?

One has to remove the back panel (need Torx bit). Down by the exhaust vent, there is a small red button (see detailed drawing) and push it to reset. It is annoying but will save a lot of money on a service call.

Bosch nexxt 500 dryer doesn't put out heat, but the element is good

If you are at the back of the machine looking at the heater box, look to the left side of the heater and there should be a stat attached to it. This a manual reset stat and should have a button in the centre of it, press it, if you hear a definite click then it has been activated. The unit should now heat ok. The stat can be activated because the ventilation pipe is blocked, the machine is over loaded or items put in too wet or you are not allowing the unit to do the final 10mins of a cycle (the cool down). Obviously ensure the unit is isolated from the mains before taking the back panel off.Best of luck. You can download manual using the link

I have a Bosch Nexxt 500 andjust replaced the heating element less than 6 months ago. A week ago it stopped heating up again. Took the back panel off, pushed the reset button but now when I turn it on, the...

Sounds like a bad thermal fuse or thermostat, check all of them with a multi meter for continuity. as for the heater going out I would check ur venting inside and out the machine. the fuses and heater blow out for a reason? Usually due to overheating issues? I suspect ur lint build up is the problem?

Where do I find the reset button on my Bosch Nexxt 500 series dryer? The dryer will run, but no heat is coming out.

Have a Nexxt 3300 and believe yours is about the same so yes, several screws to remove from the back. Top also has to come off because two screws to the back are under the top. And for the top to come off the control panel has to be pulled away. Only four screws under four white caps to remove for panel to be loosened. The top is attached with two screws in the back and four nylon clips under the top. The red reset button will be easy to see after removing the back. It is attached to the heating element housing. It is not hard to do, just a pain to get to the reset button. Link to Bosch appliance website with give you a diagram to help. http://www.bosch-eshop.com/eshop(bD1lbiZjPTAwOQ==)/bosch/us/prodp.htm?prod=WTMC632SUS%2f02&ESHOPTYPE=A Good luck.

Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I just had the same problem, motor runs but no heat. I had a fun time figuring out how take the front panel off, hint the rubber seal comes off easily. It looks like mine tripped the resettable over heat sensor. So far so good.
