Question about Lexmark X544n All-In-One Laser Printer
1. Power off the printer/MFP, wait 30 seconds, and then power it on again. Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to Step 2.No: Print a test page. If the page prints, the printer is working correctly.
If possible, connect the printer/MFP's power cord directly into a grounded wall outlet. In rare instances, a surge protector or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can generate false error messages.Did the error message return?
Yes: Contact Lexmark @ 1-800-(539-6275) No: Print a test page. If the page prints, the printer is functioning correctly.

Hello, Please try this: Power off the printer, take the Color cartridge out(Magenta), take a thin and dust-free cloth or tissue and clean the hysinc mirror and the printerhead lens. The hysinc mirror and printerhead lens is in the printer not on the magenta cartridge. Reinstall the print cartridge and power on. Try again to print this will help.

They mean the respective printheads have lost the HSynch. The first thing the we do (and have had great success with) is to clean the laser lenses. Then check the head wiring. The following codes apply:
106 & 110 CYAN 107 & 111 MAGENTA 108 & 112 YELLOW 109 & 113 BLACK

You are correct, Below is that section from the manual. Before you follow this, i've found in the past that the cable connector is not seated properly on the rip board, so check this first.
If you require any of the instructions on replacing the printhead or board let me know.
Yellow Printhead Lost Hsync
Check for the correct installation of the all the cables to the RIP
Board assembly and to the Printhead assembly; J2, J3, and J4 on
the RIP Board. Go to “RIP Board” on page 5-11. If the cables are
connected correctly to the RIP Board and to the Printhead
assembly, replace the following FRU:
“RIP Board” on page 4-11
If this does not fix the problem replace:
Yellow Printhead Assembly - Go to “Printheads” on page 4-33.
Note: Whenever a printhead assembly is replaced, it is necessary
to perform the “Printhead Adjustments” on page 4-1.
