To program Scroll Lock in the Enhanced F12 key (d), in a Logitech keyboard with Setpoint enabled .

Win XP
Click on Start
Click on Run...

type the following: %appdata%\logitech\setpoint

right click on user.xml and click Edit on the popup menu (you can make a backup first of you feel it

might be necessary).

Search for the string "F12" by typing Ctrl+F and entering F12 in the text box.

Replace the text from <Button Number... to </Button> with the following text. (you can replace the

difference only, make sure that you have EVERYTHING)

<Button Number="589900" Name="F12">
<Param IconLoc="Devices\Keyboard\CommonIcons\F12" Type="FKey"/>
<Trigger Class="ButtonPress">
<Param Button="589900" FirstRepeatDelay="0" RepeatDelay="0" Silent="0" Type="0"/>
<TriggerState Name="ButtonDownUp" HandlerSet="KeystrokeAssignment">
<Handler Class="KeystrokeAssignment">
<Param DisplayName="Scroll Lock" LParam="917505" Modifier="0"

VirtualKey="145"/>
</Handler>
</TriggerState>
</Trigger>
</Button>

Save your changes (Ctrl+S)

Do a User Log off (Start button and Log Off)

Log back in

with the Enhanced (F) key ON, you may press "F12" to trigger Scroll Lock

Somehow I have enabled the scroll lock on my Studio 1537. There is no scroll lock key so what keys together will unenable the scroll lock.

It should be on one of your function keys you might have to use your FN button which when you find the scroll lock on the function key ( press and hold the FN button which is located bottom left side of the keyboard and then press the function key that the scroll lock is on )

To turn on Scroll lock you will need to press and hold the FUNCTION Key (FN), this is located beteween the Left CTRL key and the Windows key.

With FN Held you then need to press the F12 key on the keyboard, this will enable scroll lock.

just repeat the process to turn it off

quick keys:

FN + F11 = Num Lock
FN + F12 = Scroll Lock

I may be totally retarded but I have no clue what the padlock with two arrows in it. It is on top of my keyboard next to the lighted indicators for num lock and shift lock.... anyone have any idea what...

Hi,

The scroll lock key was meant to lock all scrolling techniques, though it is no longer used by almost any software. In the original design, scroll lock was intended to modify the behavior of the arrow keys. When the scroll lock mode was on, the arrow keys would scroll the contents of a text window instead of moving the cursor. In this usage, scroll lock is a modifier key like ALT and SHIFT (which modify the function of other keys) and, more specifically, a toggling Lock key like NUM lock or CAPS lock, which have a state that persists after the key is released.

It sounds like your scroll lock key is stuck on. Press the Function key and the scroll lock key at the same time and this sound turn off the permanent scroll lock.

Scroll lock in excel 2007

When SCROLL LOCK is on, "SCRL" appears on the Excel status bar. If you press the arrow keys when SCROLL LOCK is on, you scroll one row up or one row down. Or, you scroll one column to the left or one column to the right. To use the arrow keys to move between cells, you must turn SCROLL LOCK off.
