You have a problem with the Deflection board. Those boards are running hot right out of the manufacture. You need a new Deflection. You spend money on that board, its going to go out on you because of the excess of current,or hear. spend between 100 300. for a new board. your better of.

My Seiki SE50FYT TV shuts off after 40 seconds.

Would advice the get a Tech so check/follow the power & check outlets.

When I turn on my Sony TV, ti stays on about 30 seconds then shuts off, What do you think is wrong?

Do a Power Reset.
1. Turn off TV.
2. Unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. (If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.)
5. Turn on the TV.
If issue persists after doing the steps, reset the TV to factory default settings.
1. Turn on the TV.
2. Using the supplied remote, press and hold the UP arrow button.
3. While holding the UP arrow button press the POWER button on the TV itself.
4. When the TV goes off, release the POWER and UP arrow button.
5. The TV will turn on by itself and the initial setup screen will be displayed. Just follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup.
Sony KDL 46V5100 random shut off 15 20 sec

Tv randomly turns off. Not sure if it is overheating or if something is broken.

It sounds as if you are having problems with the AC Power reaching the television. Please verify the cord is firmly seated the tv's ac inlet
Also check the wall outlet (and power strip) by plugging in a lamp into it and see if it flickers when the tv shuts off.
Good Luck!

Try turnning your tv off, unplug unit from outlet, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds, let go of power button, if plugged into surge protector try wall outlet, if plugged into wall outlet try a different outlet, power tv on using power button on tv. Did you have a storm in you're area?

Hi, the tv comes on ok for about 15 seconds then goes black and all 3 lamps start blinking. when I try to shut it off it repeats the cycle. I have to unplug it to shut it off

This could be caused by lots of things.

Possible causes that come to mind are.

1. TV is over heating -

2. Power cord not securely plugged in the wall outlet.

3.lamp door cover, which could trigger the auto-shutdown switch - you can fix this on your self by correctly resetting the door cover witch.

4.The power board is Malfunctioning

You may want a local company come out and take a look because it's difficult to pinpoint the cause without looking at it. You can find a local shop google tv repair in google maps, or call 800-SAMSUNG for an authorized technician.

Tv turns on then shuts off in seconds

unplug remove the back "CAREFULLY" slide the the plastic board assembly out do not unplug anything check near the flyback for a large grey capacitor check for burn marks underneath it if no check at the front of the same board inside one of the heatsinks for a swollen capacitor if thats not it you need a flyback and or horizontal output

Possible fault on the power board or panel as the TV seems to shut off on a protection.
Need to investigate on these boards for any physical failure preliminary
before starting on a circuit check.
