Question about JVC TH-A9 System

1 Answer

Playing dvd's concerning a JVC TH-A9...Recently when i load a DVD the disc spins about two times then stops spinning... the readout says READING but the DVD (nor CD)isn't spinning... nontheless it doesn't play the CD or DVD. Everything else is working fine. I don't think the motor is bad becauase the DVD will start spinning, there is no drag or bind in the motor, it just stops spinning... perhaps the signal telling it to spin is being disrupted? Is there something I can do or a recomendation of someplace that can fix this without ripping me off? I've already found a PDF explaining how to reset the unit, made no [email protected]

The laser lens in your player might be dirty or failing. Try the following solutions: Clean the laser lens with a DVD player lense cleaning disc. Lense cleaning discs are available at many electronics retail store. Sorry i can't help you more. P.S. please use line breaks between paragraphs and one "dot" at the end of a sentence is enough.

How do i get my th-a9r to play dvd-rw

You can't. The Laser will only Play +R & +RW.

Non-playable discs

• DVD-ROM • DVD-RAM • DVD-R • DVD-RW
• CD-R* • CD-ROM • PHOTO CD • CD-RW*

* Audio formatted CD-R and CD-RW can be played.

• Playing back discs list as "Non-playable discs" above may
generate noise and damage speakers.

Player won't load any discs

I don't have a solution at this time. I have the same DVD player and mine stopped working this past weekend. It is doing the same thing as yours. I opened the case and loaded a disc and watched the mechanism. The disc won't spin. if you tap the disc it will start spinning and load and start playing. I thought I had fully fixed it. It will load most times but now the video and audio stutters as if the discs is spinning at varying rates.

Tempremental playing dvds

In response to your jvc-a75r DVD player, sometimes the solution might be less complex than it may appear. Had the same problem with my Samsung s321,the machine refused to read DVD's but would play CD's no problem. Simply opened up the cover(usually)4-6 small screws, and found my dog's hair inside of the player covering the laser eye.Electrostatic ionization attracts dust, etc. into the player remarkably well sometimes. Carefully used a cotton swap to remove debri. PLayerworked fine afterwards ...Good luck!

Home theater won't start playing DVD

If a disc will not spin, A- the laser may not be focusing on the disc, as it must do this before it will spin and read the TOC. ( table of contents) B- you could have a fault in the spindle motor circuit or the motor could be bad. You will need to find an authorized servicer if you do not understand solid state repairs. Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this.
