Set will not turn on

Set is dead. It will not power up with remote or manually.

If you're NOT still under warrantee you should at least open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. good luck!

Sounds like the power supply is down mate unless it's just a fuse replacement it's probably more cost effective to buy a new one.you could try gumtree or eBay for one with a damaged screen.

Hello,
Please check your batteries in the tv remote as they appear to be weak or dead. You will need to find the cable remote's paper guide in order to properly program the cable remote so it can change channels, volume, and power functions on the tv set.

if TV is older than 2010 CCFL lamps inside are dead. use flashlight to see that is ture or not.

on my TV the red LED goes out turned on, so you do no have to start at it forever, a huge pain that but must turn out or PSU is dead in TV or the silly batteries in the remote are dead, or weak

My insignia tv will not turn on
If its total dead look for a fuse inside and if bad replace it. If any light comes on but set does not you would at the least need to open the set and inspect the power board for puffy filter caps and for voltages coming in and going out of that board.

Have you tried turning on your TV using both the remote and the power button on the set?

If it's a problem with the remote, it could be dead batteries, a blocked sensor or the remote is no longer programmed correctly. Try replacing the batteries and see if that solves the problem.

Dead batteries in the remote ? Is it a universal remote correct component selected ? Will the set turn on at the TV power button ? Hard to say with such a vague description. These should give you more information to interject.

as set is dead the problem is in power supply or horizontal section. though it is a simple &less time taking. but if you have no TV repair experience, or any experience tracing circuit flow with a schematic, call in a tech to assist you with this repair. This tv set is not the place to be experiementing inside of. You probably have bad capacitors and transistors in the power supply or the sweep power supply. Good Luck

Need to hook up headphones to an RCA F19436 19" TV This TV has RCA jacks in front and on the back, but when hooking up the headphones, there is not sound. I know the headphones work, because when hooking them up to a earphone jack on a different TV they work fine. My 91 yr old mother is in a long-term care facility and she has to turn up the volume so high it disturbs the other residents. Headphones seemed to be a possible solution. My 91 year old mother is very hard of hearing and in a long-term care facility. I want to install headphones on her RCA F19436 TV. There are output jacks on the back, but that hook-up doesn't seem to work. The headphones work fine on a TV with an earphone jack, but this TV evidently does not have one. Should I try to hook up directly to the leads to the speakers inside the chassis?? Any suggestions? Harlan

Lost G-Link Cable I purchased a used RCA F19436 television and it came without a remote, and cables. I found a remote from a local dealer, but can't seem to find a G-Link cable. The RCA website has no links for ANY parts for older TVs (at least none that I can find). Any suggestions on where I can find this cable? The television has a great picture!!
