If you can't take the risk of just hiding your photos in a hidden folder, you can password protect them, but you have to use third-party tools. The best option is to use this free app to hide.

My Fuji camera shows me the function P or SR Auto, what does it mean?

SR Auto stands for "Scene Recognition Auto" - This is Fuji's 6 scene-recognition function with fully loaded detection functions that detect faces, blinks and smiles for clear optimized people photos.

Framed scenes are automatically detected and selected into appropriate camera settings:
  • Portrait
  • Landscape
  • Night
  • Macro (closeups)
  • Night Portrait
  • Backlit Portrait.

Not sure where you're seeing "P", but this abbreviation is often used to designate "Program", and contains auto settings for various lighting conditions. I don't see this on the Fuji site or in reference to their camera's at all, though it is used on Sony digital cameras.

My webcam night mode is turn off how can i turn it back on

Face Recognition Usually you'll find the webcam at the top and middle of the laptop screen. One unique feature included with the webcam on newer Toshiba laptops including the Satellite Pro, Portege and Qosmio models is facial recognition. Instead of having to type in a password when you open the laptop, you can set up the computer to recognize your face and automatically load your settings. b> Setup b> To access the face recognition feature on a Toshiba laptop, open the laptop to the registration screen and click the Face Recognition icon. Look at the circle that appears on the screen and align your face so that it fits within the circle, and then click "Next." At the next page, enter your name and password and click "OK." The next time you use the computer, click on your Face Recognition icon from the main screen and look at the webcam so it can recognize your face and load your settings. b> Night Mode b> If you're in a low-light situation you can take advantage of the webcam's Night Mode effect. To turn it on, open the Camera Assistant by clicking the Start button, and then select "All Programs."

Select the "Camera Assistant" folder and then select the "Camera Assistant" software. Once it's open, hover your mouse over the far left hand side of your laptop screen. This will cause a number of webcam icons to appear. Click the "Properties" icon, which looks like a box with a pen over the top left of the box. Click the "Night Mode" check box from the Properties window and then click "OK." b> Other Profiles b> You can also alter other effects and features of the webcam from the Camera Assistant. First open the Camera Assistant by clicking the Start button, and then select "All Programs." Select the "Camera Assistant" folder and then select the "Camera Assistant" software. Then hover your cursor on the far left of the screen until you see the webcam menu appear, and select the "Properties" icon. Then click on an individual "Profile" tab to adjust the white balance, lower or raise the brightness, or correct the colors. As you click on the adjustment, you should see the change reflected in the way the webcam is displaying on your laptop. When you've selected the settings you want, click "OK" from the Profile window.

Windows start bar has completely gone

Sympton

You cannot see the taskbar (which contains the "Start" button) anywhere on your desktop.

Causes

  1. The taskbar may be hiding at the bottom of the screen after being accidentally resized.

  2. If the presentation display was changed, the taskbar may have moved off of the visible screen (Windows 7 and Vista only).

  3. The taskbar may be set to "Auto-hide" (Windows XP with Service Pack 2 only).

Solutions

  1. Put the mouse pointer on the bottom border of your screen.

    • If the pointer turns into a double-arrow doublearrow.gif, click and drag upwards.
    • If your taskbar isn't hiding at the bottom of the screen, try moving the mouse to the right, left, and top edges, looking for the double-arrow.

  2. Press the Windows logo key and the P key on your keyboard to bring up the presentation display mode options.

    • Make sure "Computer Only" is selected.
    • Use the arrow keys to toggle between options and Enter to select the correct display mode.

  3. Press the Windows key on the keyboard to bring up the Start Menu

    • Right-Click on the taskbar and select Properties.
    • Toggle the 'Auto-Hide the taskbar' checkbox and click Apply.
    • If it is now checked, move the cursor to the bottom, right, left, or top of the screen and the taskbar should re-appear.
    • Repeat step three to return to your original setting.

I have my toshiba satellite M205 and I cant activate my webcam..can you please help me.. thanks in advance

  • INSTRUCTIONAL STEPS
  • Click "Start," then "All Programs" or "Programs," and select the "Toshiba" folder.
  • Click on "Utilities," then "Web camera application." The application will open, although it may minimize automatically to one edge of your screen. If this happens, hover your mouse over the utility to make it open.
  • Click the icon that looks like a camera and video camera to start up the webcam. This will turn the camera on and show you what your image looks like. Click the camera icon to capture a still image, or click the video camera icon to record a video.
  • Click on the icon that looks like a camera with a series of sliders underneath it to open the settings panel. Adjust the brightness, contrast and other settings by clicking on the vertical tabs for each setting and sliding them left or right.
  • Click the icon that looks like a camera with a paintbrush to add special effects. You can enhance contrast, add frames to your image, or select a screen cover that will appear if you want to temporarily hide your image with a photo. Return to this screen and select "off" to remove the screen cover.
  • Click the icon that looks like an ID card to set the face-recognition software that automatically unlocks your computer when the camera recognizes your face. This software is not available on all models of Toshiba laptops, so you may not have this icon. Follow the on-screen prompts to set this feature.
  • Click the icon that looks like a wrench below your image on the video/photo screen to set other properties for the camera, such as the folder where you want images saved and the format you want them saved in. You can also click the resolution menu to adjust resolution.
  • Exit the web camera application by clicking the "X" in the upper-right corner of the window.i hope this post we be helpful, dont forget to leave your comment by saying how helpful this post is

How to use face recognition on my toshiba l350 laptop

Normal 0 87dab65.jpgA growing number of digital cameras now include a Face Recognition mode. The camera detects faces in a scene and then automatically focuses (AF) and optimizes exposure (AE) and, if needed, flash output.
The technology can be effective when taking pictures of large groups, when a person is in the distance or when the subject moves into the frame. Even if a person moves, the camera will stay focused on it and adjust exposure. It is also effective when photographing people in bright light when the LCD is difficult to see.
Some digital cameras also have a tracking function that allows the user manually give priority to a single face. This comes in handy when taking photos in a crowd, at school plays and similar function.
Face the digital camera A person’s face must be facing towards the camera for Face Recognition AF/AE to work most effectively. Like so many digital camera features, it also works best when taking photos in good light.
Face Recognition, also known as Face Priority, is typically activated when switching a camera to portrait mode or a dedicated face-detecting shooting mode. Since the technology is hardware based, it is generally faster than manually composing and locking focus and exposure on a face.
A word of caution about using face detection It’s important to note that Face Detection (FD) may be associated with a multi-point autofocus mode, where the camera, not you, determines where to focus. When a face is not detected in a scene, the camera will revert to this mode.
Many photographers find multi-point autofocus mode to be inconsistent, if not unreliable. They use Single Area focus instead to have precise control of where the camera locks focus. They only switch to FD mode when photographing people.
