I just fixed my whirl pool washing machine by blowing ******* the drain pipe as it wasn't pumping the water out in the spin cycles.
It now pumps the water out in the spin cycle
it may be beyond economical repair
It may cost more in labor costs, a call out fee and spare parts if they are still available than what the actual machine is worth.
And it may have something else fail as time goes on.
Maybe you could get a quote on what it will cost to fix but there may be a charge for providing a quote.
It could be a drive belt to the pump
or a blocked up lint filter
or it could be like my washing machine it was sticking inside the pump
Hi just read your posting.Does the machine empty the water? If not the humming you hear is the pump.Bail some of the water by hand and the tip the machine back enough so you can look underneath the machine.Depending which model you should see a fan. This fan is part of your pump.Turn the fan clockwise and then anticlockwise a few times to loosen it and the put the machine back of its feet and select a spin cycle and push start. The machine should start to drain. Please reply on how you got on or if you do not have this style of pump or if the machine still does not drain. Please turn power off at the wall before touching the pump.Looking forward to your reply.
Hi just read your posting. Now when the machine is full of water and the machine finishes the wash cycle do you hear the pump trying to pump the water out or silence?Does your machine have a diverter valve fitted? My service manual states that the problem could be the control module.Could you please reply back with answers to the questions and with the model number and I am sure I can help you rectify this fault.Looking forward to your reply.
Hi just read your posting. Now bail some of the water out by hand enough so you can look under the machine. You should see to the front right when you are looking under the machine a black fan. This is your pump.Turn this fan a few times to loosen the pump. The fan should turn freely.Put the machine back on its feet and select a spin cycle and press the start button. The machine should start to drain. Please reply if the machine still does not drain or if you have the new style of pump or to let me know how you got on.Looking forward to your reply.
Hi just read your posting. Now 1st thing to do is to bail some of the water by hand with a small bucket or pot ,enough so you can lean the machine back to look under the machine. When you are looking under the machine look to the front right and you should see a black fan. This is your pump.Turn the fan a few times to loosen it.The fan should turn freely. Then put the machine upright and select a spin cycle and hopefully it starts to drain Please reply on how you got on or if you have the newer style of pump or if the machine still does not drain.Looking forward to your reply.
Hi just read your posting. Is the machine draining any of the water? If it is not draining then bail some of the water out with a small bucket or pot, just enough so you can look under the machine without it leaking everywhere. Now when you are looking under the machine look to the front right and you will see a red or black fan. This is your pump.Turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise a few times to loosen it if it is jammed. The fan should turn freely. If the pump turns freely then put the machine back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push start. The machine should now drain the water and then it will spin. Please reply on how you got on or if the machine still does not drain.Looking forward to your reply.
Hi just read your posting. Now is the machine draining ?If not bail some of the water out with a pot or small bucket just enough so you can tip the machine back so you can look underneath the machine without it leaking everywhere. Now when you are looking under the machine look to the front right and you should see a red or black fan. This is your pump.Turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise a few times to loosen the pump if it is jammed. The fan should turn freely. If it turns freely after turning the fan put the machine back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push the start button.Hopefully the machine will start to drain. Please reply on how you got on or if it still does not drain or if you have the newer type of pump.Good luck.
Hi just read your posting. Now from the information in your posting the machine is not draining. Is this correct? Now what I need you to do is to 1st remove all the clothes from the machine and bail out the water by hand with a small pot or bucket.Only bail enough water so it does not leak out when you lean it back against the wall. Now I need you to look under the machine ,Hence the reason for bailing some of the water out, and tell if your pump is the type with a red or black fan attached to it.The pump is located under the machine to the front right. If you have this type of pump turn the fan with your hand clockwise a few times then anticlockwise a few times. This is to loosen it up if the pump is blocked. If the pump frees up and you can turn the fan easily then put the machine back upright and select a spin cycle and push the start button. Please reply and and tell me how you got on or if your pump is the one without the fan, also reply back if it does not drain and you require more help.
Hi just read your posting. Now what I need you to do is to look under the machine to see what style of pump you have. They used 2 types of pump for your model. Before you look underneath the machine bail out some of the water by hand so when you tip the machine backwards and lean it against the wall the water wont leak out.Now when you look under the machine look to the front right of it and there should be a fan which is red or black in color. This is your pump. While you are looking under the machine and you can see this style of pump turn the fan a few times just in case it is jammed. If it turns freely put the machine back on its feet and select spin and see if it drains. Now if you have the pump with no fan or it does not start draining after you turn the fan please reply back and I can help you further.
Check the belt. If it is good,
Bail out the water.Open the front panel. Remove the hoses to the drain pump. Clean the debris from the pump. No debris, replace the pump.
