Open the the moveable arm and make it straight (180 degrees) or in line with the other.Take the screw off of the black cover at the elbow (1 screw). Lift from the round part and lift off. Then loosen the two screw just inside the cover. This will allow the flywheel to spin and you should now get a read out. If the flywheel does not spin then you need to replace that piece. Gently tighten the two screws and put the cover back on. Hope this helps!

Bosch exxcel washing machine not heating water

Are you sure it's not heating the water? The only time it heats is when it takes the detergent, all rinses are in cold water only. To test the heater, put the dial to the OFF position, press and hold the start button whilst turning the dial one click to left (30 easycare) when the two middle lights come on or 888 in display (if there's a display), take your finger off the start, turn the dial to 90 cotton (the long way, counterclockwise, not thro the OFF) press start, the tub will fill and it will do a stationary heat, you should hear the element/water making a noise like a kettle boiling. Leave the machine like this for a few minutes. Put dial to off until the door lock disengages and touch the water to see if it's warm. Put the machine on drain to clear water. If there is defo no heat repost and I will give you step by step of changing element.

Bosch dwm 40 L. how do i calibrate it or where can i send it

The manual states this tool needs no calibration. I spoke to the service rep at Bosch, and he confirmed there's not 'published' way to do it. There are a number of outside firms that will do it. If you call Bosch support and explain the problem, they should send you a mailing label and calibrate it properly. Depending on if it's in warranty or not, there may be a fee for calibration and the return shipping.

Battery compartment in my angle finder overheats and battery indicator comes on a brand new set of batteries . why is that? i put a fresh set of batts.and when i turn it on the batteries on the right get...

There is an electronic component that is defective and it draws a lot of current (more than the normal rating) this makes the batteries over heat, if it's new ask for replacement of the tool.

Cheers!

I cannot remove the cutting wheel from my bosh angle grinder. Please advise as jammed very tight.

I had the same problem and it cost me new gears in the end but I found a solution.
Put the nut in a lathe and drill out the thread with a 14mm drill, then machine a recess of 0.5 x 52mm to get some extra clearance and machine a 2 x 42mm pocket for the SDS-click nut to fit in.
I did this about 6 months ago and use it professionally and haven't needed the spanner yet, hardly ever needed the locking pin (mine has a brake) and it never came loose.
Note: chisel marks were result of frustration to need to remove the nut.

Can't Find Battery.

The camera itself doesn't have a battery. If you have a light meter in the finder however, then the battery for it is in the finder itself. Press the button the back on the left side while at the same time, push the lever over on the finder. That will release the viewfinder.

Look underneath and you will see the battery cap. Unscrew that and you'll see the compartment. If it is an old FTn finder, then it will likely take the mercury batteries that are about 1.35V. They don't sell those anymore as mercury is illegal in consumer batteries, but if you do a search on eBay for 1.35V WEIN cells you should be able to track down replacement batteries.

You could put Duracell PX625 batteries in, but they ar 1.5V and thus will give inaccurate meter readings.

Cannot turn phone on

Check the battery terminals in the 'phone and make sure they are not 'pushed in' thus breaking contact with the battery and therefore swithching the phone off. You could try prising them out gently but be very carefull!
