I have a blank screen on my "digital in" input. Could it be that the HDMI input is bad? I've only had this TV for 3 months. Cable company came out and verified it was not the cable box by connecting another one and getting same results. I am able to use Video 1 as an alternative. Please advise.
When I put set on Digital Input, then turn on the cable box, I get sound but the picture lasts for about 3 seconds then the screen goes all green. If I unplug the HDMI cable then plug it back in again, I get same same results. When I put set on Digital Input, then turn on the cable box, I get sound but the picture lasts for about 3 seconds then the screen goes all green. Go into the service menu using the remote (hit the sleep timer, then video status and display at the same time), go into the status menu #2, then power off the tv. This will reset the HDMI port. If your sitll experiencing the issue, probably a dead board.

Re:
When you say that they hooked up another one and got the same results I'm assuming that you mean that they hooked up a new box to your set (HDMI input). If this is correct it does not prove anything except that they got the same results. How do you know if the output on their box is outputing anything or the correct signal? The better way to eliminate the box would be to hook it to another HDMI input on a known good set and see if there is a picture. Their box might have the output turned off or bad. Eliminate this variable first and then you can proceed to whether or not the HDMI input on your set is bad. Good luck.

Don,
The HDMI is best..but you need the standard HDMI cable. BUT this JVC is in the new Noah movie? Seriously, it wont handle Roku. The digital in function is strictly 480 p.
I think you will have to upgrade to a newer tv for this source
So the TV internal electronics for decoding the signal have failed. You could replace the TV. A cheaper alternative is to find a VCR or digital recorder that can take the satellite input in, and put the picture out on an HDMI cable to your TV.
If you see a no signal message, then it means that the signal output format of the PS3 does not match . It happens if you have previous used it on another tv and now connected it to a different tv. To resolve this, turn off the PS3 . Press and hold the power button on the PS3 till you hear three BEEPS. The PS3 should automatically detect the tv's resolution and the initial setup screen should appear. After that you should just follow on-screen instructions to set it up.
What you need to do is connect it from both the red/white/yellow cable and your HDMI. Go to your video input on your TV to where you can see the display. Go to settings - Display settings, and switch your input display from composite to HDMI. Your screen will go blank. Once blank, turn your TV to your HDMI input and when you see the picture, save settings and completely unplug the composite cable. You should be good to go.

If the tv does all those symptoms but after some seconds the tv works and stays doing the job. THen the tv has a slow microprocessor to recognice the different resolutions or video inputs.
But if the tv cannot do anything and stay aout of signal forever. send the tv to the waranty. (no waranty? you have to use the component input instead to have digital signal reproduced
