I think you mean PDF format.
You need to install a PDF printer driver on your computerfirst. There are quite a few freeware PDF writer programs on the Internet youcan download one such as CutePDF.
From your computer SCAN your document then click on File - Print and select thePDF writer as the printer device. Then name and save the PDF file.

That's normal since there's no 'pda format' per se. Maybe you want a pdf? That's not the scanner's fault, you would need to draw some software to put scanner input into the output format of choice. What format might that actually be?
