Open task manger .. start a new task .. enter iexplore.exe, this will open I.E.
start a new task again ...type c: and this will open your c drive

Now you need do download this file and save it as .reg
Click on it and press yes. this will be added to registry.
    Reboot

Since there is no opetion of attachment, i am copy pasting it
You can paste it in notepad and save it as .reg

you must too much patient for this and all because it takes more time if you want that to do in short mean while means you must format the drive in which the operating system is installed and you can reinstall the operating system from the Boot disk ...

before that once you try going to safe mode(you can go to safe mode by keep pressing F8 at the time of booting ) in safe mode go to start>accessories>system tools >system restore ...

restore to some date previously after restoration is complete it will work but after that you scan your pc once for virus and spywares...

Hi,

Try this:

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and choose file >>> New task.

Type explorer.exe and hit enter. You should get your icons back. YOu may then have to try a system restore or maybe backup your data and re-install OS. you may try a repair install using the XP CD.

When you are on the blank screen try to press CTRL+ALT+DEL on your keyboard at the same time. it should bring up the task manager window. now, click on FILE > New Task Run > Type in EXPLORER.EXE and press Ok. it should show you your Taskbar, desktop wallpaper, desktop icons

Monitor not supported

Well the monitor not being support is not the issue. the issue is the video card cannot produce a signal that is supported for the monitor. Its doing this to let you know also to lower your resolution because the monitor will pop if the resolutions is to high. the monitor itself does not matter if you had Vista as lond as the monitor agree with the signal your cool if it don't it will do this. Try lowing the res using another monitor then put the orginal back on and you should be good.

Thanks

Dell blank page keeps appearing how can I correct

Sounds like your screen saver is set to a very short period, like 1 minute or less.

Try this, Right-Click on the Desktop Wallpaper (behind the icon on the desktop, NOT on an icon), then select Properties.

When that dialog window opens, Left Click on the Screen Saver tab at the top of the window.
This will select that page of options.

On the Screen Saver page, about in the middle of the page you should see

Wait: (and a box with a number in it) minutes (check box) On resume, password protect.

I suspect that the number in the box is small, like 1 or 2, try changing this to something like 15 minutes.

Now this solution assumes your on Windows XP, this is done slightly different on Vista, please inform me if this doesnt help you!

Hope this helps you, Good Luck :)
