Hello, the blue wire will hook up to the common terminal on the control board and on the thermostat subbase. The letter designation is C
I would also make sure the transformer or fuse have not blown.
Where would I look for the fuse? I really appreciate your time helping my sons and I because we're dying lol I don't have a C but I see a hookup on the thermostat that says r/c
The fuse will be located on the control board in the furnace, you would need to remove the bottum door on the furnace to acess the control board. If you have a r/c then thats where the wire would hook uo to
But since you have a R terminal than that wire does not need to be hooked up
There should be a jumper wire between rc and rh
I just have an air handler inside and the central a/c unit outside the house. I don't know where the furnace would be. So what would I do with the red wire if the blue goes in the r/c and you said not to use the R hookup.
theres a jumper between rc and r right now i have orange in o/b green in G yellow in Y blue in rc and red not hooked up
Oh ok so you have a heat pu,p not a straightbcool ac correct?
