How do you change the presser foot on a White sewing machine model 1866?

There should only be one way that it will fit so just keep moving it about and turning it till it snaps in place

Mechanism that snaps the presser foot on and off fell apart, need a diagram to show how to put the little black plastic part back on and where the black spring that fell out goes

Assuming you have all the parts, the spring goes inside the little hole in the back of the mechanism.
You then position the lever behind it, line it up with the bar that holds the lever, and put the lever pin back in.
This is very tedious, and can be frustrating. You might consider paying for a new one.

How do i cut cotton on an elna stella? normally the cutter is up at the base of the needle but i cant find mine.... thanks!!

There should be a little **** in the back of the pressure foot bar that you cut the thread on. It normally is about an inch above the pressure foot attachment screw running horizontally.

Elna also bought out a a little black pressure foot screw/combination thread snip that replacded the silver thumb screw holding on the pressure foot shank which serves the same purpose. You wind the thread around it on the left side into a spring loaded crack and pull, it cuts and holds the two ends.

Failing that, a cheap pair of thread snips is another way to solve the problem.

The foot fell off and i dont know how to put it back on i have a brother model ls2125

If, you read your book you will see how to do it. And if, you do not have your manual, go to www.brother-usa.com, under support, click on home sewing and embroidery, then select your model, and just below you will see your manual to download. That is free. The reason that I couldn't answer you was because you the foot fell off, did you mean the snap on one or the snap on foot adaptor? If, the book does not work for you write back.

Foot on a Brother 925D serger fell off. How do you put it back on?

It looks like you just screw it on. It had to be loose to begin with. If, that isn't right, call Brother at 1-877-276-8437 and ask them. To me it doesn't look any different than a regular sewing machine foot. Good Luck
