Unable to open right cassette door. A tape is locked inside. when 'eject' label on cassette door is pushed there is very little movement, unlike the other side, which depresses slightly and opens.

Re:
Firstly: do not think about forcing the cassette door!
Look inside the unit. You need to hand rotate the capstan flywheel a
bit,( a large-ish metal disc attached to the motor via a rubber drive belt.)That should release the powered deck mechanism and allow
ejection.
Then buy a new drive belt , so that problem does not recurr.
Good Luck

I see your picture of a cassette player. Guess you are referring to that. (tapes also come in reel-to-reel, and 8-track). Just push the "EJECT" button (power may need to be applied to some units for the eject button to work). The tape slot will open. Insert tape with exposed tape on the "head" side of the opening, usually the heads are on the bottom of the slot.. You can't put it in any other way and have the door close. The "door" that opens has guides for you to slide the tape into. The side you want to listen to should face you. Either manually close the tape compartment or push the close button (depending on model). If the door doesn't close, you put it in upside down. Push play and enjoy.
These dual cassette decks were throw away units in most cases. The belt inside and the grease in the cam mechanism is in bad shape and the deck can not cycle through the steps it need to so as to reach stop. Only stop mode will allow the door block to release. The tape can safely be extracted by a Technician. The deck need work. Dual cassette decks are not always worn the repair cost.
Take ur finger senses all around the VCR the open flap door for sensors also pushes the eject button too as the same time, when the right sensors it hit ur finger the VHS tape will come out.
the tape might have stuck inside.. you need to open it and remove it on your own.. if you think its risky go to any nearby shop of electronics.. they will do it for few bucks..
I hate to say this but you may have wrapped the spook around the player inside. I have not had much luck opening jammed doors that result from spooled up tapes.
Usually this occurs when the door latch release mechanism is broken. This mechanism is located on the basket where you push the tape in and it's job is to open the tape "door" on the cassette that you insert. Unfortunately, the only fix for this is to replace the cassette basket. I know your camcorder is actually made by JVC, but I don't have access to a manual so I can't supply a part number for you.
Yes i had the same problem ... 1.Put the cassette as far as it
allows... and move the cassette left and right slightly twisting , and
you will activate the mechanism 2.SOON the mechanism gets fully out immediately!!!! remove the battery 3.CLEAN contacts (I'm looking right now on the internet to find where the hell sensors-contacts are) 4.PREY that it works :-)
The tape door will not open; nor will the tape play or rewind / wind.
