Is it registered with Garmin? Do you have the yelllow registration card that came with it? Paypal receipt doesn't mean much. If its under warranty, send it back to Garmin to unlock it.

If you start it up and are located in the place where the pin code was set, then the unit should unlock once it acquires sufficient satellite signals.

My garmin nuvi 660 is asking me for a pin and i done have it. i need help

Unfortunately, even if you perform master reset on Garmin GPS unit, it does not reset Garmin Lock security feature, which password-protect most Garmin electronic devices to deter theft. If you forget the PIN or password unlock code to unlock the Garmin unit, the best solution is to bring it to Garmin to get unlocked. “Secure Location” does not unlock a locked Garmin unit either as it’s only a temporary fix as when it’s turn on outside the security location, the device is locked again."

So unfortunately, there is only one option: You have to send your nüvi into the Garmin, who can unlock it. Remember original receipt.

Garmin nuvi 660

Owners can select a pin code to use which locks the unit preventing use by theives. Sat Nav theft is a big market. The unit needs to be sent to Garmin who will verify you are the registered owner and unlock it for you. If you bought at a market is there a good chance it may have been stolen?

Pin fogot

Here are your options:

1. Enter the correct PIN.
2. Go to the secure location where you set the PIN and the unit will not ask you for the PIN.
3. Send the unit back to Garmin to be unlocked.

I have had sucess in unlocking Nuvi's but I will only do it for owners who can prove ownership through a valid sales receipt and/or proof of ownership through registration through Garmin.
