Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF50XBR800 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

My Sony KF50XBR800 2002 model goes into Stand By mode after being on for about 30-60 seconds, the stand by light flashes in irregular sequences of 5-more then 10 flashes, (don't know what that means). Then it comes back on for another 30-60 seconds, and the cycle repeats. I have already replaced the bulb 15 months ago. I do hear the fan. It may have been subject to a surge potentially affecting any processors, as we did have severe weather last night and the trouble began immediately after. Any suggestions?

Replacement lamps do not last long. Unless it is the Sony MFG lamp, they only last about a year or so with normal use. Otherwise, the only other suggestion I could give you would be to replace the ballast. Not to expensive either, 40-50. hope this helps as well

This model no. has a built-in "self diagnostic software" that can be access to narrow down where the fault came from.
How to enter to self diagnostic screen display.
1. Turn on the main power switch of the TV and enter into standby mode.
2. Press the following sequence of buttons on the remote control.

Self diagnostic error menu will be display. It has an error code no. with the corresponding numerical digit "0" means no fault detected or "1" fault has been detected. See sample picture below.

Thats the error code for the flyback needing replacement. You should be able to get one at www.tvrepairworld.com

Reset timer on jvc dla g150c projectorlamp

1 Turn on the MAIN POWER switch to go
into stand-by mode.
In stand-by mode, the STAND BY indicator on the
projector lights up.
2 Press the following buttons on the
projector, sequentially.
1 Momentary press the PC button.
2 Momentary press the ENTER button.
3 Momentary press the EXIT button.
4 Press and hold the HIDE button for two seconds
or more.
* During this sequence, the STAND BY and OPERATE
indicators alternately blink about every approx. 3 seconds.
After completion of the sequence, the STAND BY indicator
alone stays on.
* Buttons must be pressed within 2 seconds of the previous
button.
* When you make a mistake in button operations, return to
the beginning of the sequence.
* To check the lamp time on the menu, press the MENU button
and select “Information” with the cursor button 5 or ∞.
The lamp use time is indicated in the item “Lamp time”.

Sony Vega KDF-E5OA10,picture will not come on, tv goes off.

There is a real good chance that the lamp fan is not turning. If you look with a flashlight in the vent on the left side looking at the rear of the set and have someone turn on the unit, see if it spins. if it doesnt, the protect circuit in the tv will not let the set turn on. Replacing the fan will cure the proplem if it is not turning.

Cannot get tv out of stand by mode..

upon hitting the power button, the red light showing on the front of the tv should flash a couple of times, the screen should come on and the light goes off..the red "stand by " light stays on and we cannot get the screen to come up..needless to say, cannot get to the menu to change any display options...any suggestions?

Tv tunrns on then goes to stand by flashes 4 times & repeats

turn tv on picture comes up 2to3 seconds later tv blacks out then stand by red light flashes 4 times in a row repeatedly..can not turn on or off when stand by light starts flashing but before tv blacks out you can turn tv on and off repeatedly and picture and sound work.You have to unplug power cord for 30 seconds after stand by light comes on to get tv to turn on.
