When I try to turn on my radio nothing happens. When I first got it, it worked fine and did so for a couple of months. A few weeks ago I was listening to my CD player and it worked but the display did not come on. It also was not playing very loud so I tried to turn it up. when it did not turn up I tried pressing a few buttons and it went compleatly dead. Do you know of any ways of fixing it?

check the clutch start switch or the park neutral switch operations
you need the clutch in to start and there wia switch there that may need adjustment
same for the auto park /neutral switches
check wires
the symtoms you describe sounds like a battery fault. but if you have had the battery properley tested and is good then you either have something discharging the battery intermittantly ie. trunk light staying on or a high resistance in the main battery leads or earth connections
Not all replacement parts are good. I would guess that the new ignition switch is bad. Its also possible that the wiring harness is loose where its connected to the ignition switch. You could try jiggling the wires.
This happens because the removal of the current to the computer or CPU gets de-programed. You may be able to solve the problem (if it comes up gain ) by disconnecting the negative cable with the engine off. Then renstalling it back after a minute. This will reprogram the computer.
As you said, its 4 months old and assumed under warranty cover. Contact Sony Service Center for repair because if you try yourself, will void warranty.
this is a capstan error but the capstan may not be bad. 1st I clean the tape path ,then check for low take up tension, needs to be 8 to 10 grams. start there, sometimes these require replacement of the mechanism which is not all that expensive considering. part is under a humdred. these mech are not just drop and go, they wll need computer recalibration. good luck.
