SOURCE: On a Cannon Powershot IXUS 86015 How do i change the language back to english?

Hey thaze,
According to the manufacturer you need to press the playback button, which looks like a triangle pointing to the right. Next you need to hold down the func. /set button, and press the menu button. Next you need to use the up/down arrows, or the right/left arrows to choose the desired language and then press the func. /set button. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

I also have the same problem and I took it to the canon service center. They told me that I have to replace the whole lens kit the problem was with the shutter not closing properly thus overexposing the pictures

SOURCE: I have a canon A520

The battery issue seems to be a problem with this model after 4 years, unfortunately you have to open and close the battery compartment to clear this error. This is not a permanent fix.

SOURCE: White photos canon A470? i have a canon

I had this problem too, I think it's the shutter problem, it doesn't close
when a picture is taken, therefore, causing the over exposed photo...I've sent it back to canon, still waiting for the reply...

Screen is always white. Will record picture, but plain white also

The image sensor (CCD) is dead. This is a known manufacturing problem and may be repaired at no charge, even though the warranty has expired. Here's a link to a detailed explanation; http://www.imaging-resource.com/badccds.html

Powershot pro1 viewfinder show blank white

Hi
When the LCD screen is open the viewfinder will switch of and when it is closed the viewfinder will switch on. You can switch between the two by pressing Monitor select button to the left of the Eyepiece (Viewfinder). as you look at the back of the camera.

Hope this helps.

Buttons don't work

Hi
Have you turned the mode lever to the point at the setting that looks like a little camera, some thing like [O].

Try This:
1. Turn the Mode lever to [O]
2. Press the function button. (Found to the left of the eyepiece/viewfinder)
3. Use the up and down buttons to get to the setting you want to change (found on the dial to the next to the LCD screen).
4. When you get to the setting you want to change use the right arrow to enter and make the change use the left to go back to the main menu.

Hope that helps.

Hi whenever I take photoes on cannon powershot sd 500, 5.1mp the image is getting blurred and horizontal stripes appear

This looks like a processor fault, or an internal RAM fault. You should send the camera back to Canon for service.
