The color is distorted there is a psychedelic green around. You can see the color images ok but there is a super imposed green color on the screen. Do you have any idea on the problem do I need to replace the main circuit board or what board or part, Thank you

Sounds like your convergence board went out. This board aligns the Blue image to impose over the Green image and also the Red to again impose over the Green. This will take a TV Technician to replace and to fine tune your TV's image.

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured the are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.

Your tv is probably in need to replace the color disk. Follow instructions on last pages of your manual to find out hou to get repair service.
