I have a HD5000 that was working till yesterday properly. now i receive the massage in skype that no webcam is connected. also in the HD5000-application itself i have the same massage. who had the same problem and how to fix it without reinstalling XP? thx in advance

HD5000 not working properly

Replace it. I have had 3 microsoft mice fail after less than 6 months so I do not think microsoft hardware is reliable, many years ago it was the best. Buy a different brand. Webcams are normally reliable so a used camera from ebay is a good option to save money.

SKYPE VIDEO PROBLEM
To test if the WEBcam is functioning, check the USB cable; make sure itis connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - Logitech - Logitech QuickCam and see if you can get the camera to capture yourimage/video.If this works then thefault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop offand the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - VideoSettings and select the WEBcam Also check the AudioSettings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.Avoid connecting the WEBcamto an USB hub.

I can't get the special effects to work with skype.

I Seriously Dont Think Special Effects Works With Skype.The Special Effects Works When You Make A Youtube Video For Example.Simple Things Like That.But I Have An Oovoo And Its Works For Me.

Not working with skype

If you are using skype
open skype go to tools from the drop down list select options scroll to audio settings make sure the microphone is using the same as your computers audio
you can make a free test call if you cant get the microphone to work you can select learn about setting up your audio equipment or
control panel sounds and audio devices audio and also voice it

Try to check if this issue occurs on Skype only or with all programs

If it is for Skype only:
You need to check the Video Settings in Skype.
Start Skype > Options > Video Settings > select the webcam that you are using.
If the webcam is not on the list, download and install the driver from the manufacturer website
Try to set Automatically Receive Video from - select Anyone or Only people in my contact list.

Yes, I have a Logitech WEBcam (not the same model) and I use Skype.
After you installed Skype then :-
To test if the Logitech QuickCam is functioning, check the USB cable; make sure it is connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - Logitech - Logitech QuickCam and see if you can get the camera to capture your image/video.
If this works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the Logitech QuickCam
Also check the Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
Avoid connecting the WEBcam to an USB hub.

Veo webcam does not work with skype

Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

Sound problem when video camera is turned on

1.Check whether your cam has built in mic.
2.if then connect the mic signal cable to the MIC in connector in your sound card.
3.if your webcam doesnt support MIC functions. Connect the head phone with mic to mic/audio slot
4.if you have already connected Mic. then the problem with the sound card settings in the instant messenger menu.
5. Specify proper sound card manufacturer in the audi settings found in the preferences or options or settings menu in IM software.

I'm assuming that you have tried a different USB socked with the same result. This has nothing to do with the software, it's a hardware fault. You can check that simply by booting from a Linux Live-Cd and see if the webcam is recognized. Most likely it has just failed.
This is unfixable, you will have to buy a new one.

1st You download Webcam Driver.
Drivers After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.
