Press the MENU button. Use cursor-left/right to select the Setup tab. Use cursor-up/down to select the tenth item on the list. Pick your language and press the OK button.

I have here the manual of your Kodak EasyShare C143 Digital Camera. Since your camera was set into foreign language,in this manual you can view the sequence on how to set up the language of your camera. I suggest that you just have to follow the sequence since you cant understand what it says on it right now. You just have to click in here.
If your going to use it for the first time, you just have to see page 2 but for more details in setting the language, you just have to go on page 33.

You may have to use some "hit and miss" but if you try to follow the same number of steps in the setup menu, you will eventually find the word "english" and then you can click on it.
On the page that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP press TOOLS (the spanner symbol at the bottom right corner)
Press SETTINGS (The spanner symbol) or LOCALE (The blue symbol) on models that don't have a settings icon
Press LANGUAGE (the lips symbol)
There are 3 items on this screen; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
To change the voice language to English press VOICE and select an English speaking voice
To change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English, or American English if you're in the USA
If the text language is already in German you probably won't know which is voice, text and keyboard. The German word for German is Deutch so when you see this beside one of the items you'll know this is the one to change the text language. This should solve your problem.
When I installed mine - the fist screen asked "what language"? Maybe uninstall & re-install. If you have the disk.. If not - there should be a online install option as well.. You should be able to set the language that way if all else fails..
