When i try to turn my web cam on it wont work says another program is being use by it

Remove off any program of web - cams that was installed into the PC with the web -c am disconneccted from the PC. Now download the correct driver software of the web-cam into the PC, then connect the web-cam to the PC to be detected and installed.
If this wont work please check with another PC to confirm the web-cam.

There is problem with your Web Cam software. you should reinstall Web Cam Software. Problem will be slove

might need to check the running services and make that webcam service start

control alt delete > services

your computer web cam setting may be changed go from start program ..... click on web cam. then look setting of brightnessor darkness and adjust if not solve youy problem re instal webcam driver once time

as ive told others, make sure u actually turn off the software program that came with the computer before using with msn! u should be able to have it on while using it but for some reason some computers wont allow it! it "tells itself" that there are 2 programs trying to run the web cam when really only one is.
but because the program is on, it sees it as being used in 2 places at 2 different times!

try turning off and exiting the software (dell webcam manager) and then go onto msn and try using ur web cam!! make sure the dell manager is exited, then when u have a msn window open, turn the cam on and see if ur friends can see u then..

hi, i had the same prob and i tried everything, then i noticed it was nothing to do with my web cam it was windows, the new virsion some how does not support web cams the only way to sort it is to downgrade to an older virson of windows mesenger, i did and my web cam is working a treat, i would rather have the old virson anyway

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

it could be the program that your trying to use it with, try using another program/wesite that uses web cams then see if it does that.

i have an acer aspire 5720, my crystal eye web-cam doesn't work either, well most of the time, it says a program stopped it from working, i have moved all photos into a new documents folder as suggested, but still doesn't want to work, any help would be much appreciated.

sum cams just wont work with vista have u dl all vista updates and add on updates add those in to dl list try to go to web site they dont have any for vista hu u can try to dl sp1 for vista but i think trial period for testers is done best bet buy new oen thats works iwth vista
