I have a Emerson 1895 series ceiling fan (w/o light). The pull chain came out. I have to get a replacement part for Pull Chain. I would like to consider if a remote can be added in this fan. Thanks, Rahim

You will probably have to replace the switch that is controlled by the chain. You will need one withe the same number of wires coming out of it. Find out the type of fan and google it. If it is a cheap fan I would replace the entire unit, it if is also old.

did u check the light whether it is alrit. in other case check the wires may be disconnected.

this is the type of switch that attaches to one wire only do you understand?if connects to live wire to break the conection.

If you removed a switch there should be two wires. Connect one of the wires to each of the switch wires or screws. good luck

I would try removing the remote part. Connect the two main (light & fan) wires direct to your house main. Then if the pull chain works then you just need a new remote unit.
