You need to print out a report from the printer on what its URL name is to be able to type it in your safari browser and look up and change the internet settings on page 23 of

There will be a setup program in the downloaded software or a driver setup program . Once you change the ip address of the printer to match your mac ip range and subnet mask you may find your apple IMAC may detect your printer and set it up automatically
You have to download the mac version of the driver on the
MAC as Apple has a different file system to windows.

Hi. I've gost looked in my Win XP's known printers list and I found that win XP has generic drivers for HP DJ 640. In conclusion U don't need to install something.
Jost plug it in on USB or LPT1 (lpt1 - when conecting to the PC, the printer should be off) and when XP asks for the drivers, select it from the list...

When you download the driver don't get just the basic driver this will not allow the buttons on the device to work. You must download full feature software. This is usually a very large download and will take some time.

The best place to find drivers for any device is always from the manufacturer's website for the product or hardware device you have. Click here for HP's driver and support website. Another good place to find drivers is drivers.com. You might also want to check out this site for a free driver scan tool here.
