What do you mean by "forced to format"? Did the system indicate you to format the USB drive, and sometimes won't let you format it? In this case, your drive may be corrupted. Try resue the data first...

I am having the same issue! I did not format the usb because it comes up with this auto play function normally. How can I save the files to a different location or recover them if I go forward with formatting?
