I have an Alba digital lcd/dvd combi 16" CFD1671A. We have lost the remote control so I have bought a replacement universal control. I cannot get it to recognise any code - do you have any ideas please.

Impossible to answer definitively without the model number off the rear label, but here are three manuals. They are all online. I hope you go the remote for it as access to the Settings is normally via the remote.

If this doesnt get colour back then its broken

try contacting the manufacturer or the retailer where you bought it. otherwise, buy a universal remote control like the logitech harmony, wich is programmable to the extreme

There is only one code for Alba satellite/Digital i got with my remote, which i recently bought new. You could try: 407

there are no coides published for ALBA TV ,try Pressing SET (&hold)and (1) key ,indicator will flash eg. 4 times for Digit 4 etc,repeat this step ,with (2)key for the 2nd digit and (3) key for 3rd digit,good luck
