I have a Sony DAV-DZ100 Home theatre system. But from the very begining I have a problem on my FM tuning settings. Basically if I store all the FM stations after tuning with the help of the "Tuner Menu" button and then suppose I don't power on the system continuously for 5 days I find all the tunned stations are lost or errased from the memory and I need to tunned it all over again. This s my problem. Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.

SOURCE: sony dav-dz100

That means you have a bad speaker, speaker wire, or a componet in the output stage of the amp blew out. First thing to try is to disconnect all the speaker, Turn on the unit. If it still reads the same, you have a problem with the amp. these are solid state units and have no user replacable parts inside of them.. You will need to have it serviced or get a new unit, as to have these repaired or even estimated these days is very costly. Good Luck Please dont forget to rate this thread.

SOURCE: PROTECT UNPLUG

This is a common problem with sony it means unplug me or i will explode, it is a protection of the heat sync and usually means that a cooling fan has shorted out. If under gurentee return to Sony for repair if not under guranebntee as is generally the case check on the net for a replacement fan motor - as far as i know sony were sourcing thier fanns from Sunon there is a German based headquarters - just google sunon europe

SOURCE: why does push power protector keeps flashing in

This is an error massage and comes when home theater got some internal problem specially in amplifier output section that can have defective output IC etc.
It is not user level repair and requires qualified tech for fix.
Thanks.

My Sony Home thatre system DAV-DZ10 give a message : No Disk. How to solve that problem? Any help?

All DVD players will say no disc if there is no disc in the drive when closed. If however it does so when there is a disc in the drive, plus the disc is clean and undamaged, then you have a problem. It could be caused by dirt on the lens, but since it was doing funny things before there might be an electronics issue. I would still clean the lens first.

Upgrading dvd to blu-ray - how can I use my existing surround sound speakers?

Unfortunately because your existing system does not have the option of connecting an external source, such as another DVD player, the only option you have is to reuse your existing speakers and purchase another amplifier. Trying to patch another DVD into your existing unit would require a bit of technical expertise which would be more trouble than it is worth. The all-in one concept is convenient but very limiting in terms of expansion.
