Wrong directions my streetpilot c330 has become undependable. it will give wrong directions . I have tom go west it will tell me to go east. Or it will tell me to get off an exit that will never get me where i'm going. please help me
Several times GPS has steered me completely wrong direction! Was fine until a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday, my daughter used the unit, and coming out of New York City, instead of heading her West, it took her way North - and several hours later she realized she was not going in the right direction. (She has come to rely on the unit and doesn't question the directions given).

I dont thinki the 330 handles 4Gb SD cards I think 2Gb is the maximum that is why it isd taking so long and runds out of space so cannot properly load the maps.
I still have the problem. However I expect Garmin support to solve it for me at no cost. If Garmin charges for this simple problem, then the next 3 models I buy will not be by Garmin.

I'm not 100% sure but we were told that there isnt' enough memory to hold all the maps in the c330 because the new maps are larger than the memory in the c330. Does it have an area to choose where you can take out Canada? If so then it has enough memory to load the maps minus Canada. Hope it helps you a bit.
The Garmin maps updates page appears to be down at the time this is being posted, but the page to get updates for your GPS is https://my.garmin.com/maps/updates.htm.
What are you trying to update, firmware or maps? Firmware updates ae free from Garmin. Just go to www.garmin.com and download the WebUpdater. If you are trying to update the maps, these are available for purchase in CD or SD card formats, also from Garmin or your local retailer. They should be approx. $70.
