I wonder if this means you have to re-initialize the camera.
This changes everything back to the original shipping condition. It does not erase the owner id setting or the clock setting.
To do this Set [Camera Functions]>>[other functions2]>>[Initial set]>> [yes].
Initializing will take some time and [COMPLETED] is shown with some beeps.
This is taken from my manual.

Samsung sl605 wont turn on

A charging battery's light is red. If it turns green then it means it is fully charged. Since you had stored your battery for a while, try to charge it by using a battery charger to kickstart it. It should work. Whatever transpires let me know. thanks and rate this answer.

Took battery out of working camera 4 months ago. Put charged battery in recently, but camera would not turn on. Reset with button but no change.

Do you mean your Nikon D80 battery haven't bean used for 4 months and you store it with no power? If so you battery maybe has been't damaged. Over discharge is heavy damage for Li-ion batteries. And when you store it with no power and for a so long time... You need to store it at 40% charger and at a cool but no cold place. Cold and hot are the killers of Li-ion batteries

I havent used my camera for awhile because when i use to turn it on it would just turn off again and i thought it wa the batteries but ive tried every kind and all the camera does is turn on and turn off...

I am not sure that you can fix this problem.
Make sure that you are using a best grade of batteries. Buy the best batteries you can find such as the Duracell kind. These are stronger and will give more power to the camera when needed. If you can get to the menus, reset all to default. Then choose the battery kind. Hope it works.

The camera worked fine when I bought it. Has been

If the battery has been stored for awhile, there is no way it can recharge in about a minute. Something's wrong with either the charger or the battery.

Wont turn on! little red light on the back is on

Try to take off the battery
take off the memory card
put back the battery
turn on the cellphone

Its either there is a broken file on the memory card or in the internal memory
Or try updating the firmware of the camera
Go to the Sony Erickson website to download the updater

Camera isnt erecognized

I have XP, the Oregon Scientific DS6618 works great. When the box appears about the compatability test, just click "continue anyways". That message doesnt mean it wont work. Just that Microsoft hasnt gotten around to testing it themselves.
