Steady tone coming from ghw9150pw0

Wash cycle works fine, no alarm codes, no lights just a steady tone from the machine. The problem started yesterday, the tone was intermittant, I did not recognize any "alarm" pattern, now the tone is steady. I found the diagnostic test and all tests pass. The only way to get rid of the tone is to unplug the washer.

I'll give it a try, I ran a toothpick around the alarm option button, lucky I had my glasses on, saw the caution about holding in the button locks/unlocks the controls! Funny how it started, tone off, tone on, to me it almost sounded like a relay partially stuck, also, the humidity in the area is very high (Hanna approaches), I have "Dust Off", I'll try giving that a shot on the button but the control bd sounds like it might be it, I will keep you posted...tnx

Could be problem in control bd not necessarily a problem with function but something in sound circuit ck for a sound control button on keypad it may say something like alarm volume or on off try holding it down after turning power on if you notice any change in volume or tone of sound shows you're on right track only thing is solution may mean new control bd

Whirlpool duet front load washer always needs reset

It is probably a power supply issue.
I would replace the main smoothing and secondary smoothing capacitors on the main board.
The voltages go lower than they should be and it confuses the board.

Whirlpool GHW9150PW0 - the Normal/Casual light does not light up when you select it, instead the Delicate light comes on.

MYSTERY machines are difficult to diagnose, but the closest to a reset is to disconnect the power overnight.

It may need a new control board.

Why won't my washer start a cycle? Start button LED just flashes. All other lights are steady. Door lock sounds like it engaged, but nothing happens.

There should be a way to enter the washing machine into service mode to view an error code. Check your user manual and then you should have your answer!

Zanussi ZWF580- after the wash cycle I press the red button to rinse & spin but it just tumbles & rinses again, then the red button comes on again. This could go on all day. I find that to finish...

If the START / PAUSE button lights up red, the washing machine detects a malfunction. Now you should count how many times the START / PAUSE button lights up red and tell to us what kind of malfunction is being done.

Try to rapid reading of alarm codes when the appliance is in normal operating mode (e.g. during the execution of the washing
programme):
Press and hold down START/PAUSE and the nearest option button for at least two seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.

LED indicator START / PAUSE with red light = indicates the first digit of the alarm code (family)
• LED indicator START / PAUSE with green light = indicates the second digit of the alarm code (internal number of the family)

Kenmore HE3 washer emits steady, constant beeeeeeeeeeeeeep

Depending on how your washer controls the beeper, it could be a stuck relay or a fried transistor.

Washing machine will not start wash - just beeps - key on display

Press and hold the Rinse Plus button and wait for the washer to start emitting a tone.

Whilst you are pressing and holding the Rinse Plus button, the tone increases in volume from low to high and then it briefly goes silent, before it starts over agian.

If you release the Rinse Plus button immediately the tone goes silent, then this will turn off the beeping.

If you don't release the Rinse Plus button in time, just continue to press and hold the button and the tone will cycle around again from low to high to silent.

Hope that helps.
