I have a General Lee radio. Bought it used from a pawn shop for a really good price ($70, don't think they know what it is). I turned it on worked great, for maybe 12 hours off and on. The next day it won't rx even though I still hear myself in talk back. I work hours where no cb shob is open before or after work. Any ideas? My other radio still works on the antenna and coax.

Could be a bad tr. In the receive circut its a small kinda half round black thing with 3 legs coming out of it. Ive had 5 of these radios it happened to me. The board in a galaxy 33 is the same if that helps. But i would try a mic first but it sounds heat related so im thinking the tr(short for transistor).

Depending on how old it is, it could have bad caps. Could be the switching transistor, mic... Any number of things. It is the kind of thing where you have to start checking things down the line looking for the issue. Start with the simple things like the mic, cold solder joints. Look for obviously burnt parts. After that it gets a bit more technical checking parts in the TX section.

Hopefully its just a bad mic wire which would cause the radio to have no RX. Try a new mic. Good luck!

Pawn shops are skilled buyers, you can often rest assured knowing that the laptop was well inspected and tested before the pawn shop decided to accept it for loan or as a buy. For more information, visit at Electronics

Compaq presario f700 windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt. THAT'S THE MESSAGE THAT APPEARS WHEN I TURN ON THE LAPTOP, I DON'T HAVE ANY DISKS FOR THE LAPTOP...

You will need to buy a recovery disc from compaq, contact customer support and technical department they may be able to sell you one at reduced cost. If that is not possible you will need to purchase a copy of windows, "not cheap" try www.ebay.com Type make and model you might find a seller that might have what you are looking for at a good price.

My husband passed away and i have a tri-star 230 3in one welder...the welder is a 220 it is made by Century. I am looking to sell it and was wondering what price to ask for it?

A simple method for determining a value for an item is to check ebay completed listings. The completed listing will show the asking prices for items that did not sell and actual sales. With the information from ebay and a few calls to local pawn shops, you can determine a good sales price. Ebay prices will tend to be lower than pawn shop prices. An average of the two will be a good value. Good selling.

Need code for the perntal code on the wii system it is on lock and can not connect to the internet brought from a pawn shop how do i get that or change it?

For the Wii, if you don't remember your parental control code, you can reset it using a "secret question" answer. Since you bought it from a pawn shop, you probably won't know this either. In that case, you'll have to contact Nintendo Support, they can help you with the problem. Included below is a link to the page where you can contact Nintendo Support. Just scroll down the page and select the "Contact Nintendo" button, and there are step by step instructions from there.

I would suggest getting the service manual, that is what I do with my vehicles and when you think about the price of a mechanic is a small price to pay for having the same information dealer mechanic would use at your finger tips.
If you need anything else let me know.
Thanks,
Lee
