Flash Problem I now have a Nikon Coolpix 2000 digital camera. Recently the camera cannot operate its flash light. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

First step would be trying to reset all defaults, which I'd imagine is in the setup menu. Make sure you are also not in a mode which turns off the flash. For the 990 at least these are: The built-in flash will automatically be set to ?Off? when: ? you use autofocus with a setting of ?Infinity? ? you choose a multi-shot setting of Continuous, Multi-shot 16, VGA Sequence, or Ultra HS (an external flash can still be used with these settings) ? you choose a multi-shot setting of Movie ? you use best-shot selection (BSS) ? you use lens converter (LENS) settings ? the AE Lock option in the EXPOSURE OPTIONS sub-menu is on make sure your batteries are fresh and fully charged. if nothing works, consult a professional on repair, use an external flash, or use it just when the sun is out... Good luck!

How to keep fash on a Nikon coolpix s6800

You don't. The flash needs to recharge between stills. And if you want light for a video, a flash isn't going to do it. The term "flash" means just that, a brief flash of light. For video, you need a dedicated video light.

My flash stopped working on my nikon coolpix L110..

The Nikon Coolpix is a compact digital camera that is well-suited for amateur to semi-professional photographers. Occasionally, some issues with the built-in flash can occur. If the hardware is damaged, the camera must be taken in for repairs. More often, problems occur because of obstructions or issues with the camera's settings and are easily repairable. Follow the troubleshooting guide to fix the built-in flash.

Instructions:
1.Ensure the Nikon Coolpix digital camera battery is fully charged.
2.Wait several seconds before pressing the shutter-release button if the "Flash Ready" indicator light is flashing red. Press the "Flash Mode" button once or twice to change the flash settings from "Off" to "On" or "Auto" if the "Flash Ready" indicator light is off.
3.Ensure there are no obstructions, like your finger or the camera strap, that are preventing the flash from firing if an error message appears on the display screen and the flash is not firing when the flash mode is set to automatic.
4.Press the flash back into the camera after every photo to ensure the flash always fires in "Auto" mode instead of just in low illumination settings. Press the flash back into the camera to turn off the flash in "Manual" mode; otherwise the flash will continually fire.
5.Change the auto focus setting from "Infinity" to "Auto," "Macro Closeup" or "Self-Timer" by pressing the "Focus Mode" button once, twice or three times to automatically turn the flash back on.
6.Use only Nikon external flash accessories to avoid damage to the built-in flash and camera circuits.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thanks.

My Nikon CoolPix S560 has worked great since I bought it about 2 1/2 yrs ago. I know how to set everything, the battery is fine and charged. Natural light photos are fine. Just recently in the middle of an...

Yes, the flash can burn out or the flash circuit can short out. You can send it in for service but, since it's out of warranty, it will be very expensive. B&H photo has a refurbished one for $70. If you send yours in, what you will get back is a refurbished one....they do not bother to fix point-and -shoot cameras. Your choice.
