If you're trying to get your laptop onto your tv, often you need to change the video output. For example, i have a dell inspiron, so i need to hold down the 'Fn' button, then F8(CRT/LCD) to change the output.

Are you sure it's the remote control? Test the remote with a digital camera - point the remote to the lens of the camera and see if it outputs IFR light. If you see light on the display of the camera, then the remote is good.

No. It's not designed for that function and so completely lacks the hardware required to output a live video feed. Almost all other digital cameras have the same limitation.

1. Make sure your comera doesn't have the MUTE function selected.
2. Check the output volume on the camera.

The problem with most digital cameras is that there is a slight delay between when you press the shutter and when the picture is actually taken. You can check the camera is ok by placing it on a firm, steady surface and using the self timer to take a picture. This picture should turn out ok. I have the same camera but the USB port of the camera is not functioning.since I have installed Avermedia TV tuner &recorder card,I can connect the AV output of the camera to the tuner input.Now can function as a web cam.If USB output is functioning then live mode of camera manager will help the webcam use-Satya,Bangalore -27th April2008
