Frig working, freezer stops working, then starts working again
The refrigerator appears to work normally, the freezer side quit working, everything thawed, then it began working again, now has stopped again all within several days. The freezer is not packed full.
Re: frig working, freezer stops working, then starts...
The computer control circuit board was found to have a burned out circuit. The board is on the lower back side behind a panel, easy to replace. Just need the proper model number to order the board.

hi do you have a volt ohm meter pull the back out of freezer check the element see if it has continuity if so it may be the timer witch should be somewhere near the thermostat hope this helps you jim
How to check
everything http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer
are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of
cold air
check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In
most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board.
If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks
and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace
the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the
timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.
Is there anything obstructing the fan area, ice build up ? It is normal for your freezer to get warm if evap fan is not working, it is essential for it to work :) A defrost cycle should kick on a timer or as needed (adaptive) and there should not be excessive frost buildup that it blocks your evap fan. I would have suggested you unplug your refrigerator for about 10 minutes and see if that resets your control board - if not, then you will need service - either replacing motor assembly or a faulty control board.
hi try out the following settings.... Check your temperature setting. - Check if no ice present in the evaporator, try the defrosting - Check vents if air is present if no then check your blower if running or icing evaporator. - Check your vents if not obstructed with stocks, or the unit is not overloaded with stocks. - Check if compressor is running continues, if not then you need a qualified technician.
i think after checking this it will work out for u.!!! thank u rate me!!
All the cooling takes place in the freezer and is blown over to the frig side so the frig side will start to warm up soon. Possible cause is the starting device to the compressor is faulty, compressor motor locked up or cold control faulty and not closing.
