Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I have a Samsung TL220 digital camera. Every time I try to turn it on, it will open, beep, and close back. I thought it could be the battery, so I ordered a new one. I'm still having the same prob

From the description provided the problem is in the systems control board, this the brains of the camera and controls vital area's of the device. My sense is to replace the camera, unless it was expensive then have it assessed.

My samsung TL220 i dropped it won't power on or anything

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on (no power, no lights, no noise, nothing) are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

But if there is some electrical activity, then you're more likely experiencing a lens error. In that case, see this article.

I hook my usb to my TL 220 but my computer is not recognising the camera and the photos won't download to my computer

change the port ...be sure the camera is on and well powered...and usually it has to be in view pictures mode...
if a driver disk came with the camera ..insert it and run it first...this should take care of the issue ...when you plug the usb cord..see that on the camera display will appear a dialog t ask you do choose a connection mode...
