I had the same thing happen to my Sony. The LCD screen is cracked and it is leaking stuff into your screen. It will just get worse until you can't read anything. The repair was far more than buying a new computer.

My ematic eBook screen internally cracked how can i fix it?

There are places online where you can get a replacement screen if you're not afraid to take your e-reader apart. Otherwise look for a local repair shop near you.

Samsung Cracked Screen

You no longer have a TV but a parts unit. In most cases, It will cost more to replace the screen than buying a new TV set. Although it is cracked, it still has some value, don't toss it in the dump. Throw that puppy on Craigslist or Ebay(if you have the shipping box) someone will be interested and buy it. Just be realistic with your asking price. Don't be like some lady I encountered who wanted $350 for her Dynex 42" LCD with a cracked screen !!!

The LCD screen is cracked, and what you see is the liquid part of the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) that is leaking and spreading.

The LCD is available for about $40, and that puts the repair service at about $75 which includes the part, installation and return shipping of the camera. All for just $75! Much cheaper than throwing it away and spending $200 or more on a new one.

I have a Sony A300. When I turn on the live view screen, I only see a bunch of vertical lines on the screen and cannot see anything that I try to display (ie. menu, display, prior photo's, or the...

Sorry to say your LCD screen is cracked, it happens a lot with the Sony DSLR-A300 and A350. The solution is to remove the cracked LCD and replace it with a new one. The repair isn't that difficult, but you have to be careful removing the LCD or you will break a latch holds two FPC cables together and then will have to replace yet another part that takes MUCH more labor.

I did a Google search for "sony a300 lcd repair" and at #2 I saw an online digital camera repair shop that has done tons of this repair over the last few years.

Hope this helps!

Hello the screen on my sharper image literati is cracked. Is there a way I can fix it?

Unfortunately once LCD screens crack, there isn't any way to fix them on your own. I'm guessing that around the crack, there is black liquid inside of the screen. Once the screen cracks, you either need to send it in to get repaired which is probably decently expensive. You can try bringing it back to the store you bought it at and seeing if they can do anything to help you out. I hope this helps! Good luck. Please rate my solution!

A spot developed in center of screen next day black lines across screen from the original spot

it sounds like you have a small crack on your screen that has gotten worse over time, these black areas are where the lcd crystals aren't active anymore, unfortunately there isn't allot you can do apart from buy a new screen or put up with the black lines.
