Answered

The DVD player is not taking the DVD. Pushes the DVD out without playing. Tried several different DVDs. Left on as per booklet instructions, Still not working. Like this TV. had for years. Where and how can I get is checked/repaired?

This DVD player is just a basic DVD player only wright?Yes?The DVD player have internal laser optical drive problems,not worth fixing,the price of repair and replacing the DVD player laser optical drive will cost the same as a new DVD player or could go beyon it,because labors charges.A new basic DVD player only are very cheap these day.U can get a pretty good one for $40 dollars only,any where in a major Big BOX Stores Retailers like Walmart,Target,Kmart many other.

Get a DVD cleaner and get the lence cleaned, if it does not stop then change the lence.

    I bought a DVD cleaner. no help. It would not take the DVD cleaner disk.

Why wont this player play my dvds
Either the DVDs are too damaged for the DVD to play them, or the DVD player is experiencing some issues that need to be fixed. Have you tried playing the DVDs in another player? If they work, then you know its the DVD player, in which case you might as well just buy a new one. If the DVD doesn't play in a different player, then you know the DVDs are damaged.

5 yr old Westinghouse TV w built in DVD player. DVD player won't play. Tried several different movies, none will play.
First thing I would check is that you are playing regular DVDS and not BluRay. Your TV may be old enough not to accept BluRay. If it doesn't work with a regular DVD then you most likely have a bad reader which can be replaced but you will have to take the tv apart to get to it.

Hello Mark. Most likely your player is regionalized and not compatable ith those DVD's that won't play. To eliminate the regional setting on your player go to this link http://www.wisebread.com/make-your-dvd-player-region-free-in-seconds

The DVD portable player and the DVD disc came from the same countries?Ur DVD portable player and DVD disc u are using might have the wrong region DVD disc format frequencies.Like PAL frequencies only play Euroupean,Asia,Middle East,Austriala and Africa products.NTSC frequencise play only USA,Canada and Mexico DVD Disc products.

According to the spec sheet, the Alba 113 dvd player is a region free device. This means that it should play dvds from several different regions. So, to answer your question, yes, it should play region 1 dvds. Good luck! Der Strom

1 Check if your DVD player is multisystem player which can play all the DVD's It appears that your DVD is not multi system as it cannot play certain DVDs. Please check in the instruction booklet which came along with the machine what system and region DVD's it can play. Buy or rent those DVD's. There is no problem with your DVD
