You can prevent this issue by making sure the P300 is turned on before putting it in the cradle. This is limitation of the current operating system.

I copied the Motorola MC9190 content of the Application and Platform folders to the Motorola MC9090 and now it can't move on from the system booting. I tried warm boot, cold boot, clean boot from SD card,...

If it is a Windows Mobile 5 device, reload the OS in full using SD card method. If the device is Windows CE5, you can enter IPL mode by doing a coldboot, and whilst inserting the battery back in the device, press the trigger and put it in the cradle until it enters IPL. Once there, you can either use SD card with the OS Hex files or you can use USB Download from Motorola to download the files sing a cradle from your PC. It will be recognised by the PC as this method does not use Active sync.

IMac deactivates USB port when I connect my Nikon P300

Try connecting the camera directly to the computer, without going through a hub. If that doesn't work, then buy a card reader.

Ipaq 1940 losing programmes during main battery changeover

  1. Plug the charger adapter into the charging port on the bottom of the HP iPAQ Pocket PC.
    Figure : Charging the battery
  2. When the power indicator on the top of the HP iPAQ Pocket PC turns solid amber, the unit is fully charged and can be disconnected from the AC adapter (approximate time to fully charge a unit is four hours).
NOTE: The amber charge light blinks while the battery is recharging and turns solid (nonblinking) when the battery is fully charged. In the event of a low backup battery warning, charge the unit immediately before removing the main battery to avoid data loss. To view the amount of charge left in the backup battery, tap Start, Settings, the System tab, and Power.
Charging with the universal desktop cradle and AC adapter Use the universal desktop cradle to charge the HP iPAQ Pocket PC, or synchronize the HP iPAQ Pocket PC with a computer.
Follow these steps to charge the HP iPAQ Pocket PC using the universal desktop cradle:
  1. Plug the AC adapter into an electrical outlet and connect the other end of the AC adapter to the AC connector on the universal desktop cradle.
  2. Connect the serial or USB cradle cable into the appropriate port on the desktop PC.Figure : Connecting with the cradle

  3. HP iPAQ Pocket PC into cradle
NOTE: The amber charge light blinks while the battery is recharging and turns solid (nonblinking) when the battery is fully charged. There are stabilizers located in the universal desktop cradle that assist in aligning the unit when there is no expansion pack attached. When placing the HP iPAQ Pocket PC with an expansion pack attached into the universal desktop cradle, the stabilizers will be pushed down by the expansion pack. To release the stabilizers for use without an expansion pack, press the button on the back of the cradle.

  4. Turn on the HP iPAQ Pocket PC.
Keep the HP iPAQ Pocket PC connected to the universal desktop cradle or AC adapter when it is not in use.

Garmin ique 3600 hot sync issues

I had the same problem. Obtained no help from Garmin - $200 to repair.

I purchased a $7.00 IRDA (infra red) - USB device; set my Connection to IR - PC and have been able to sync without any problems. However even withupdates I have not been able to get the cradle - PC connection to work. This is not a problem however since I now use the IR connection all the time.

You must touch the screen hot sync logo not the cradle button to start the sync process.

IPAQ H5555 connection problems

Hi, This could be due to a few issues, try these soloutions in order below: 1) If you have a jacket connected to the ipaq it could be preventing the ipaq from locating correctly on the connector. Remove jacket and try insering again. 2) Check that active sync is set up to detect the device on the usb port. The cradle for the ipaq may have a serial and usb connector. Ensure that just the usb connector is attached to your laptop. Try connecting again. 3) You may need to uninstall the USB cradle if it was connected before installing active sync. Try the following steps if this was the case: a) unplug the USB cradle b) uninstall active sync c)Click start then click control pannel then click system. Then click on the hardware tab. Look for the device under USB, right click on the device and then select uninstall. d) restart the laptop e) Install active sync f) ONLY after active sync has installed you can now plug the cradle back into the usb socket. g) Now connect the ipaq, it should now detect it.

Error message

This original question is so old it probably won?t help the original poster but instead is meant for anyone who runs across this in the future with a similar problem. If you haven?t already done so backup your data, remove any extra cards or plug-ins and do a cold-boot. If that doesn?t work the next step is to remove Active Sync and install the latest version from Microsoft. If that doesn?t help then the next thing I would try is syncing to another PC and then another cradle if possible. If the problem persists the only thing left to try would be reflasing the ROM.

EM-500 sync problem

There have been issues with the cradle PCB on the EM-500. Casio has redesigned the same added an IC & a few additional componentes. I had similar problems & simply could not connect through the USB port. Worked flawlessly with the accessory serial cable (direct connection - no cradle ). This also was on an XP system. See if you can wangle out a free replacement/fix for yout cradle from Casio.
