Dear Canon Authorities I have recently bought a Camera PowerShot SD3500 IS through a friend of mine in Canada. I have little concern related with my camera and that is as follows: The Camera has got touchpad screen and on the right side of the screen, in the dark side of the screen, especially when camera is on a kind of blurring or fingerprint shape dots or points are appearing interface of the screen This thing appears exactly where the arrow to move on with the picture is at. Hopefully I could somehow describe to you the problem I have with my camera. Camera in fact works perfect but these flashing points inside the camera are giving me a headache Looking forward for your answer Kindest regards Artan/ Kosova

I called cannon about the same problem. they sent me a label, I sent the camera in and it was REPLACED FREE! I have had it for almost 3 years!

Contact Canon you may qualify for a free replacement.

I am not sure if this advice will work for your model, but it does work for other Canon models.

There is a DISP button on the back. When you push it in, it will turn off the LCD display. Hit it again, and it will keep the display off but show the on-screen icons. Push it again, and the LCD will turn back on. I may be wrong about the order it cycles, but it will cycle through the various modes.
